I use colored electrical tape and put bands around all the handles of my “constant use” hand tools. Then once you use each tool a few times your mind gets used to seeing that colored band on the handle and it’s almost instant you see it when the tools all get mixed together.

Great stuff Harv!! Real hotrodin right here/there!! You still going to make it easier to pull?? I have a 266se that seems like it 's to hard to pull so I'm anxious to see what you do about that. Have a 265 special that is my fave mid size saw. It has the darker tank just like the one you're working on, If I remember correctly, way back you saying something about those years being good saws.

Harvey you have to cut those hooks on the bottom of the air horn off or you'll have issues, I've built 6 saws that way with the xtorq carbs and had clearance issues even with the bigger air cleaner

I love stihl but your right even the new saws the air cleaner suck from the factory. You run them a couple hours and you got dirt under the air cleaner. They really need to work on fixing that.

I dont wanna be that guy butttttt. How long will that saw run before it seizes? Not sayin this because the piston size. Im saying this because i havent seen a saw thats had that sleeve put in not seize yet. They run great till they dont. Hope it works out for ya cause i know its not cheap to do this.
@theironhorse66006 ай бұрын
Piston to wall clearance HAS to be opened up or it WILL seize!
