This is astonishing. Could you talk a bit more in detail about the radio config on both sides? I had no idea that 2.4 ghz (12 cm band) could be pushed this far. Much appreciated! and thanks for sharing this.

I love this video, but can you tell me how did u put 2 current sensors to make it go up or down depending on the solar pannels?

Always wanted to see a pic of yours. This is Dio. So how? That's you throwing the plane at the very first seconds? The designer of RVOSD?

If you embrace 100km, I'll do 150km. With e-motor... That way you owe me 2 RVOSD. full stop

Matt hias Next target is 120km. I already have an evil plan for that. And yes that guy throwing the wing is the RVOSD dude.

Aleuli73 Curious to know more about your evil plan! Enjoy the flight. Great to see you flying again. take care!

Why did the MAH go up how is it charging in mid air? Does it have like a solar panel on it or something?

it is counting how much power it has used.

Alex, what do you do when you fly out far and high about real aircraft? I fly high and far, but lately been thinking of real aircraft and don't want to get in trouble...
@Aleuli739 жыл бұрын
magicmike1122 First, this is a remote location on a Caribbean Island. Air traffic is rare between 3k and 25K feet. Airplanes either flight under 3K feet visual rules or approaching a local airport or over 25K feet crossing the Island the international flights. It is uncontrolled airspace, with visual flight rules. So no aircraft is allowed to fly at cloud level. This flight never was closer than 10km from international airports. This model airplane fuse is all foam, being the main problem a circular 0.035m metal motor, and maybe the lot softer 0.14 x 0.05m battery cross section. Imagine the probabilities of this two objects intercepting together in kilometers and kilometers of airspace, then imagine the probabilities of this small parts hitting exactly the vulnerable parts of an aircraft. I think the risk of this is somewhere between an aircraft being hit by a meteorite and a flying bird. And btw there is plenty of vultures flying on this area, being my airplane the only model capable of this range in this country I dare to say the vultures outnumber my airplane like 10'000 to 1. Airspace never closed because the birds. Local traffic is small propeller aircraft mostly. This flight is from a runaway made for RC airplanes but there is always guys on full scale helicopters that come here to practice hovering together with RC modeling. If you look carefully there was a full scale robinson helicopter hovering over the landing strip when this flight ended(look the last part of the video). I just signaled the guys that i was landing on the turf side and they kept their position.

Yeah, the other day I was flying out 1500 ft asl, but through a mountain valley that was 1000 ft high, and I know for a fact no aircraft will be able to fly over that at 1500 ft. 2000 ft would be the minimum because it was a congested area. But some guy came to me and started yelling at me. I was at a rc field, but not AMA, just a free park... Anyway, I'll continue lr flight, with your rvosd, and start upload new videos! Just got a new recorder. Fly safe. Thanks for the words.

Good rule of thumb is if anyone is around to see your plane where you are flying it just make sure you are following your local laws. In the USA that means staying below 400 ft and maintaining line of sight.
