This was my moms man.. Her pretend husband. She would order food and use his last name as hers. She had a life size poster of him for years on her wall up until she died and we never took it down up until it sold. I’m sure they may had took it down but we wouldn’t dare do it. I remember me and my mom would get drunk and sing Rusty Cage and Jesus Christ Pose on top of our lungs at the bar and dance and die laughing at the lyrics . Especially when your drunk singing rusty cage.. we thought that lose women had rusty cages hahaha ..so think that in your head while your singing it drunk!! 😂😂 miss you mom and miss u Chris. Chris really seemed to like him. The first time they were on Headbangers Ball Chris was fun but a little shut down and kind of aloof. But every time they were on or together after that. He really seemed to like Riki and honestly back then it was the rare times you'd ever see Chris really relax and be super funny (been a fan since 1989 so I saw the evolution of their press interactions through the years) But I definitely got the impression Chris related to and genuinely liked Riki.

the other night I was driving around listening to black hole sun, thinking about my childhood, I was raised on his music and then split off into my own taste, listening to every genre to its fullest extent. But something about him, his soul, his face, how he thinks, I just kept seeing him smile in my head, I saw him in myself sort of, or maybe what I aspire to be, (I don’t have idols and I don’t want to think as him as an idol) and I just burst into tears man. Full out just exploded and started screaming the lyrics, full on screaming and crying in an insane way. I kept seeing his face, and I almost had to pull over because I went limp and my left eye was rolled into the back of my head, just a beautiful person. He wouldn’t want me to think of him like this, I’m aware, but it’s just he’s one of a billions of people in the world who lived his life and got to express his to the world. Everyone knows him, but it just hit me so hard. Emotions are too intense for there not to be something on the other side of this life. I really hope that he’s somewhere nice, hope you’re resting easy Chris.
