Yeah, what you said. When I hear "Carnavoyeur" off the new album "... In Times New Roman," I sometimes get the feeling that song is having a conversation with "I Appear Missing" -as if to say: Having been on both sides, whatever that means... I'm here and not here, so now what?

Ha. I don’t care if he was only drumming for 60 seconds but Dave Grohl is a marginally better drummer than Jon…..or anyone else for that matter pertaining to QOTSA.
@TabethaAurochs7 ай бұрын
@@OlinKreutzRulesDave Grohl disagrees with you 100%. He admits he "hits real hard," but lacks the technical genius of guys like Taylor Hawkins (may he RIP) and Jon Theodore. And this show's 11 yrs old... Mikey Shoes was 26, maybe? This most recent album and tour-holy sh*t what he and Jon Theodore are doing? Nobody else does it. Where Josh and QOTSA have taken their sound and their live show is fucking amazing. This show is a total rush. What I wouldn't give to see the sold out show at The Forum in LA this Halloween. Brilliant songwriting and the finest execution imaginable! Not since I was a kid listening to Led Zeppelin have I felt so outside myself while listening to a band. @@ggthewhale I know everyone is all over Dave and Joey, but I personally think Jon is the most technically skilled, versatile and tasteful. QOTSA still plays fast and loud, but it’s pretty noticeable that they’re focusing a bit more on precision and complexity which makes sense since they’re older and much more mature. Jon fits that shoe perfectly, I’m positive he would’ve done an incredible job with them in their earlier days as well, just like he did with The Mars Volta back in the day.
