'91 EF Civic Gets New Stereo & Custom Cupholder|Daily Driver

I daily drive a 1991 Civic DX over 100 miles a day. Let that sink in.... ... .. . Ok, so I need a stereo that actually works, plus a cup holder would be nice! Watch this video of my EF Civic as it gets a little bit of 2019 put into it.

I just did the same upgrade after 3 years of trying to keep it "stock" I couldnt take it anymore my FM transmitter didnt like the range of the stock stereo so it would always cut off :/ and ate up a couple of my cassette tapes lol. Now I can talk to my gf while I sit in traffic 🤙 Also dropped in a DC center console for the cup holder. Cant wait to see your next upgrades 👍

Nice car. I have a 1991 civic Ex sedan, similar to your setup but mine came with an aftermarket stereo. I am planning on adding a Skar brand sub/amp system .Also got the cup holder off of ebay and it works great. I will need to get to the back of the stereo to make the connections. Will be interesting to see if the previous owner used a honda civici specific adaptor or they did direct connection.

I installed the cup holder too. It’s worthless. You can only put a can of soda. That’s about it. It interferes with shifting especially third gear. I had high hopes for it.

Nice cup holder, I bought the same cup holder for my 89 CRX SI but I guess they have different ashtray in the CRX or 89 then the civic. No matter what I did it will not fit. Looking at my ashtray it a slight curvature on the sides which made it not fit. although I did buy the cigarette cup holder too.
