Without a doubt, to me, this is one of your most informative install videos and one of the best I HAVE EVER SEEN! PERIOD! The previous install errors gives us an actual visual reference for the mistake and fix by you two. I learn best this way. When I installed, back when there were CD players and amps looked like cooking grills (guess the time period for $100 lol), I was a rookie and my job was to fix anything that came back if it wasn't something huge then the original installer did. I learned SOOOO much by doing this! Next is your integration of the factory source unit with aftermarket and upgraded equipment. You showed how to use the factory wiring with that bypass/T harness then running speakers to and from the Audio Control piece. You did a great job displaying it's features and functions without going into a full tutorial and boring us to death.....well it wouldn't have me....but maybe others. LOL! That thing is nice! It really took the factory signal by the, uh, wires ( that HERTZ! lol....geez) and cleaned it up. I loved that you had two meters or screens to give a Real Time Visual (RTV....not the glue) of the signal coming of GM's unit and then coming out of the EQ. You also showed off the SMD tuning tool showing us that the factory player didn't clip at full signal. I loved how you did this so just about anyone could "get it" and I re-learned quite a few things. I know you can only show so much video but I wish there was possibly a link to an install album so I could see the subwoofer set up as well as other angles of pics. This way we could see more of the install in stills to get ideas from. To brainstorm for our builds. Last but not least, you tastefully informed us that the previous shop and their standards are NOT acceptable to you and the industry. You ( you is in reference to the team "D and F" btw as I can't remember who exactly said what) didn't name names and destroy the reputation of the shop......they are doing that for you. OH BURNNNN! HIGH FIVE! .... NO?.... okkk....sniffle... (LOL) Sorry if this was long winded but I wanted to do a 5Star video review and give the install bay five stars! Thank you for all you do with doing it the right way the first time and taking the time to make these. If anyone understands, it's me, knowing you have to do a lot of these scenes twice to show us. Team Dean and Fernando, keep it up. YOU ARE APPRECIATED!!!

I messed up and didn’t ask for my old speakers back, the guy ended up throwing them out without even telling. And when I came in to ask about them, I was told a long story about why they were thrown out and how they donrckeep old speakers. Great video that goes and shows us that you even have to check the work you get done... it is unfortunately so sad. I’m an amateur installer and the other day I did an a3 single to double din install (2006) and the job was way cleaner than this with some solder and relays and all that fun stuff. I don’t understand why you would crimp wires like that out of pure laziness! Thanks to installers like them the whole installation industry is made to look unprofessional! I had an install done on my old 98 F150.. yes F150...lol and went to a shop that was supposed to be the best in the area and had awards for install and competitions...I thought I was in good hands. Boy was I wrong. When I had removed my system to transfer it to another, I found out that they had cut the factory harness as well and threw out the factory molex connector. Taking out the speakers, I found the same as you did... drywall screws attaching speaker to doors... I was fuming!!! I've done installs on my other cars but I didn't have the time to do my previous truck. I learned a lot from how clean you do your installs, trying to use the same the methods and materials you do and use with my current setup. My current install is worlds apart from my former "professional" one and I owe it to you guys. If I ever needed an install done near you, you would be my first choice. You Guys Rock!!!!

I’m a little old school and I’m looking at a new system in my truck... My question is does the LCQ-1 eliminate the (Mid/High) crossover? Or would you still be installing them? Great video work and show, and also awesome workmanship on the installations. I was in the business during the 80's and 90's, and was part of a 3 store chain. MECP in 92. Across the board, we installed very similar to you. Our techniques and workmanship were very close. We also had many folks bring their vehicles to us to have them verified or repaired, that others had done. It was amazing what we found back then, so it's a shame it still continues. Time moved on, and I moved on from car audio and into IT. However, I still do all my own work and the occasional friend or family. LOL, I'm still rocking vintage 1999 MB quarts and JL's in my Jeep. They still work! Keep up the great work. Your video production is very good. Just stumbled onto your channel, and will now continue to watch as I'm sub'd. It's amazing where the 12v world has gone during my absence. So many things now available. However, the workmanship and basic techniques still remain. Skills that young people these days don't have exposure to. It's all about the quick and dirty and have it now. I see it all the time. Items that used to be installed, just clipped to the vent with wires everywhere. LOL. Love the 911 videos and the car after car after car after car. Reminds me of back in the day......

I don't know you guys, but I can see you're good people...fixing other people's/shop's messes is never fun but you fixed it nicely...attention to detail is crucial in car audio and you guys have it...no wonder why dudes at the other shop wanted to "fix" that mess; they already knew it was krap and knew that installer's sloppy technique...👍to 5⭐

My install from a shop here in Pittsburgh PA was horrendous. They cut out the factory speakers and used broken pieces from a speaker ring kit to mount the jl audio c2s in all 4 doors. Used tons of electrical tape on everything. They didn't even seat the head unit in, gave me some bs excuse that I can't remember. I had to take it home and grind part of the dash surround in order to get it in. Wound up putting Rockford 8s in the front with Polk tweeters, have the proper rings coming for the back doors for the 6 1/2s. I might as well have done it all myself. And to top everything off, I can't get to the jl amp that they installed without tearing the rear of my suv apart. Didn't even get the jl speaker grills. Fair to say that I was basically robbed!
