Love the Dewalt D2400 Saw ! Being a tile contractor for over 30 years and Had A 8'' Riso Saw, and all the other brands out there , this DeWalt is by far the Best tile saw on the market. I have it for over 17 years with all the original parts. Still works great!

Just bought for a big tile job, I felt same way as you about all the plastic, I love my rigid 7" even cut 24x36 on it but I have this job using 24x48 and I knew it couldn't handle it, stuck a piece of 1/2" foam on the tray and ripped a 48" length ways and no problem, so far I'm impressed although its definitely missing a LASER and the fact the tray doesn't lock into the tray is kind of iffy, my old rigid has a laser and the saw locks into the tray

I'm framer/handyman over the years and my first Dewalt was an electric brake circular saw I bought back in 1989 still works. Of course now that I bragged on it it will kill over finally. I'm looking for a wet saw since my wife wants 8" x 48" wood plank style tile in here 300sqft office. Seems like this my be my next tool. Thanks for the review.

I've been using the D24000 since 2007 and i love it. I've never had any problems with it since. I've only replaced blades and i'm on the 2nd set of motor brushes. I've always kept the saw clean after every use. I will always drain the water at the end of the day and clean everything. Always flushed the electric water pump with clean water at the end of each day. I would like to have the D36000 but i just don't do many jobs with 36" tiles, but when i do, i use a custom made table with an adjustable fence and use a custom made hand held wet saw. What would be very useful if it was possible to upgrade the D24000 with the wider D36000 throat on the left.

I have the 2400 but I cut any size on it. You don't have to have plastic arms to reach the controls, you can set it from any side and go. My mk was a beast and as I got older it was one SOB going up and down stairs. The DeWalt is not heavy but has. Lot of parts to carry and set up. Once set up it's great, less mess then my mk and less back aches.

Most any ceramic or porcelain tile I score and split up to 39". I only use wet saws for stone. Bridge saws are my favorite because they have no side clearance issues. I'm looking for a new smaller bridge saw to replace the Felker that I've had for years.

bought a dewalt in 04/05 the first year they came out. i moved from a target and felker before that and never looked back. yes the felker, mk, targets are heavier and less noisy because they are belt driven but those saws dont handle biiger tiles as good and are definitely messier. so as of 2023 my dewalt is almost 20 years old but had to rebuild the motor 3 times so far which isnt bad really because i can do it myself. the first time a bearing went , so i just replaced the actual bearing and soon another part went bad, i then just replaced that part and soon after another part went. after that i just replaced the main gears all together and its been good now for 8 years. so just replace the main parts when something goes wrong, not just the individual bearing. yes its a bit more money to replace the entire gear/ bearings but its alot easier and last longer...perhaps i have spent 800 bucks in the 19 years but well worth it imo

I love my 36000. It's so large that it almost requires the 20v pressure washer to clean it. Seriously, you won't be disappointed if you connect the included poly line to a hose connection, in combination with the oscillating head, do not suck from a bucket! I digress... I can't wait for Dewalt to make a 48" version, & hopefully with a larger motor & a waaaay better tray quality & storage design! Hint hint - Dewalt... 🤔

I think they're too heavy and big. You don't need a saw this big for plank tiles. It'd be really awkward to cut a 36 x 36 with that thing. I just did a job with a 24 x 48 and all i used was a snap cutter and a grinder with a wet sponge/guide. If i had go buy a big heavy saw, i'd just get a bridge/rail wet saw....Better for tiles bigger than 24".
