For the impact driver that you have that doesn't work, try taking the battery out and holding the trigger (fully pressed) for 15-30 seconds. Then put the battery in and try again. *effectively power draining the tool

@landshark21824 күн бұрын
Nominal vs maximum voltage. And it’s all beyond simple to understand
@adambomb7331Ай бұрын
I think they don't add the orbital for the same reason Milwaukee has 2 levels of Fuel sawzalls. The Fuel Super with orbital, and Fuel without but smaller & lighter. So not every other saw has it, due to trying to minimize size. I think showing a comparison against orbital & non-orbital would should be shown.
@sv-et7gqАй бұрын
I completely agree with you on the recipe saw. I'm glad they made a new one but it's missing a lot of features found on more modern saws. No orbital No adjustable shoe No rafter hook No variable speed dial

10:50 best thing about plunge base compared to other brands…..how easy it’s to lock in place & unlock w/o moving hand from left trigger grip as just flick lever w/ thumb or finger……& I only own 4 DeWalt tools; but that feature it has wish all other brands had that ease of use, b/c they do have lever but brand I have I must left hand off grip or use opposite hand to lock, also, just feels nice. Do prefer diff brand router, but this about DeWalt ☺️ Edit: reason why chose other brand, the ability to really fine tune exact depth stops to diff depths as they use diff system from DeWalt, & if DeWalt had that system, I’d own 5 DeWalt tools

I used to be a Dewalt fanboy to the point of having a stack of Tough system tool boxes taller than I am but not anymore, not after the past couple of years. Used a brand new impact for ONE fence project and it sounded like a box of loose ball bearings afterward. Sure the fence was 325 feet long but still, a one project tool? Used their 20V weed eater for light homeowner use for less than a season before it burnt up. The motor only has tiny little vent holes and apparently is just about guaranteed to fry if you dont blow it out and clean it perfectly after every use. Their 20V edger is designed to rotate backwards and it's always cutting at maximum depth, no matter how slow you try and go it'll constantly limit trip and stop running. Their 20V circ saw is left-side bladed so if you're a righty like most people that means they did a great job of engineering it to get every splinter and speck of dust that it throws right into your eyeballs. Finally their recip saw will absolutely vibrate tour teeth out if you don't have the shoe up against the work for even a split second, this was through a bunch of different blades. It's a shame too, I was about to pick up their 15 foot pole saw, really liked the reach on that but now I'm buying into the Toro 60V line of tools. Their weed eater is every day pro-use grade, it's such a massive step up and for not a lot of money. I'm on team screw Dewalt forever here 😂😂

What tools do you you like then? Just curious
@tylerboone766815 күн бұрын
Their circ saws are what made me switch to milwaukee, 2 cuts and motor wouldn't do anything but click. Also hate that they come out with a different battery platform every 6 months just make all the tools work on one battery!
@tylerboone76688 күн бұрын
@_Rick_S i was actually really happy with dewalts pole saw and their chainsaw is actually really good and doesn't kill batteries like i thought it would but their leave blowers left me disappointed it kills a 5 Amp hour battery very quickly

DOA and dead in short order tools happen -that's why they have a *warranty*. I had a DeWalt Stealthsonic shopvac that ran for 10 minutes and never turned on again. Quick trip to Lowe's and exchanged for another one that I have put days of use on with zero issues.

Dewalt's prices have gone up way too high for their quality or lack of, and the lackluster performance....every other tool brand seems to have left Dewalt in the dust....Dewalt keeps screwing with battery platforms, and tool branding nonsense and forgot they're supposed to be building quality high performance tools not be changing tool branding names and designs to cover up their lack of performance and quality. I had a lot of Dewalt 18V, 20V, and a few of the Flexvolt tools....sold all that stuff earlier this year, plenty of other choices out there with better performance, and less expensive batteries and accessories.

I just bought a Triton router after comparing it to the Dewalt . Triton makes 2 versions of their plunge router, one 2 1/4 & 3 1/4 hp . I wanted another DeWalt tool as all but a couple of mine are . There was to much difference to not buy the Triton.

I was hoping too Dewalt would finally bring their line into one line instead of caving to the retailers. home Depot had their panties in a wad that lowes got the 12 volt extreme line so DeWalt came out with the atomic so home depot could have a subcompact 20 volt system. It will Reduce the confusion for the consumer. My only hope is that DeWalt keeps up with skil and what they offer in their 12 volt line. As I have invested pretty heavily in their DeWalt 12 volt extreme line. I hope the walk will make the same investment it's users have. DeWalt just makes higher grade tools then skil. Nothing wrong with skil if you're a Johnny homeowner. I just like DeWalt's fit and finish a little bit better.

@Shannon-v3rАй бұрын
I have 5 routers, had five, now six. I justified buying the new dewalt because I was sick of using the circle jig and the power cord kept tangling up with the dust collection hose. The router is almost flawless. One livery small thing is the inability to use guide bushings accept for the 30mm one they supply and you screw in. I don’t use them much and aftermarket universal bases are cheap
@A6LegitАй бұрын

They really don't care...and their cases and containers are ridiculously expensive and you throw the tool in and it just clatters and slides around because in that ridiculous cost they couldn't other to design the cases with movable partitions for all their tools, or have that foam stuff in them to be able to customize those boxes.

I think they're priced about the same anymore at least that's what it seems at Home Depot in my area, the red and yellow tools are about the same price....and it seems like Home Depot is pushing more towards the red tools, tons of Milwaukee stuff, even a lot of the Milwaukee storage boxes out in the isles, less stuff from Dewalt. I sold all my Dewalt stuff earlier this year, got tired of the ridiculous prices and lackluster performance, and they keep redoing their tool line but they don't seem to boost the performance and quality on anything, they just raise the prices and call it a new tool, that they just change the model number on from time to time but its still a 10+ year old tool.

New DeWalt tools are terrible, in particular the mitre saws. Their impact driver was always shite. I never liked Dewalt and I never will. Milwaukee are even worse, their gen 4 has been a disaster. @Thebattler86Ай бұрын
@stephenfanthorpe2708 Every tool is good for the first few months after it was bought. Wait until it has some work done, then tell me how good it is. Dewalt releasing limited edition "McLaren" models is so cringe and makes me see them as even more of a joke than I already do. It comes across as a desperate attempt to make up for a drop in sales. Such a cheesy promotion gimmick you would see for childrens toys, akin to the "Milwaukee Truck Tour", clearly targeted towards naieve Americans🤣 I'm quite insulted to be honest, do these big tool companies think we're 4 year olds or something?
