Hi Rocco! Everyone in this is great, I love the early modern (late mediaeval?) fancy gang waiting outside. That some of the locals are able to grow their own saffron is very cool, and I hope there's someone still alive who knows how to make the reed baskets, it's an art worth preserving if it makes such delightful gnoccetti.

Actually they're no longer made in the same way and the vintage/antique ones are difficult to find.Traditionally they formed part of a woman's trousseau and/or were given as wedding presents. 🙂🌺 best wishes, Vicky

Terrific video! I do want to point out that if you don't have a su ciribu or gnocchi board at home, you can also use a sushi mat to make the ridges in the gnocchetti/malloreddus/cavatelli rigate pasta. Barring all of that, you can always turn over a fork and use that.
