I have a RPO thats similar that I use in our Indy package to go warp speed. I don't use the pistol. But in your play, my H or FB will shoot right, and run off of the block of Y. At that point, it turns into a screen play with 2 on 1. If the backer flies out with him, the QB hands off to the running back, with a block to the backside backer from the center or LG, depending on who can free release between the two. RT aims his butt at the RG and kick out the end, creating the sidewalk and RG creates the alley for the RB. If he stays in the box with the motion, he throws it out to him. I saw Scott Frost run this in his days at UCF and with Nebraska now. We averaged around 6 yards on this play. You can have a tight end and it's the same play out of a different formation. But your play is similar, except you use your QB as the runner. On the backside, I have X run a slant or 5 yd hitch based on space between the corner.

Great stuff as always! Can you show this versus other fronts? Specifically 3-3-5 and 3-4? Thanks

Coach, Sorry if this was addressed... how do you run this concept to the left? H stick or do you flip the formation?
@onebackfootball5 жыл бұрын
Yes H-stick or Late Y-Stick, can run Blue Flip Z-Stick, etc.

92 Mesh Group thanks coach. Also, if you don’t flip the ace formation (and y always sets the mesh), do you only run mesh to the right out of ace?

How can you modify and run this against 6+ down linemen?
@colonelrobertsjr.78823 жыл бұрын
If there are six down linemen then you should be looking to see what the X can do backside for a presnap read, which is usually the slant if there's no alley defender. Other than that, just convert to Mesh and find open grass.
