In this episode I'm taking on a top class Erhnam on Ice deck with my White Weenie budget build. Do I even stand a chance? This old school magic match turns out to be a closer battle than I anticipated.

Casting Armageddon against and Erhnamgeddon deck, not the wisest of moves. To be honest, you deck really was out classed. Revised only against fully powered Old School, brave, but stupid. LOL

Hahaha, you’re probably right. My reasoning behind casting the Armageddon was: 1. I want to deny him from his white and blue mana sources (all his removal is white) 2. I want to tempt him into using his orb (trading a 1/1 for an orb seemed like a good deal) 3. I’m ahead on board in creature count after the exchange (perhaps this was the most important reason) 4. I need less mana to get back i to the game and I only need mana of one colour (I can play 90% of my deck with just 2 mana) The main reason not to do it was the fact that he had a sol ring and 2 mana elves, but I decided that the pros out-weight the cons and then the mana and Sylvan appeared 🤦🏼‍♂️

@@TimmytheSorcerer , yes but, you had no lands in hand and you left your opponent with two elves plus a Sol Ring. That's enough to cast an Erhnam Djinn. Coupled with the fact he had a Chaos Orb on deck. Your four weenie creatures would not be enough to deal with a potential Djinn. He also had the ability to still cast Ice Storms, even if you had drawn lands, his potential to destroy them was high. Even though you cut off his access to blue and white, green is the color of his major threats. Just sayin', tactically it was a bad play(which the game bore out).

Great video and sweet decks. I really like the tech with ankh of mishra in the weenie deck. And that erhnam on ICE deck is just a beauty to behold ❤️ I wonder if you have considered a single sword of ages as an extra win con in the white weenie deck? It could be an extra way for white weenie to burn and close the game, if opponent stabilizes the board state. :)

I’m thinking about adding 1 Fire and Brimstone for that reason. Love the idea of using direct damage in white 👍

Timmy the Sorcerer yes exactly thats often what quick white needs to close. That’s also why pink white can be so good I guess :)
