93 Camry typical problems 92 - 96 replace parts engine shake

Replace the oil pressure sensor ASAP. Lower motor mount pre thread the bolts through before installation remove dog bone. Change oil every three to four thousand miles I noticed it has an effect on performance. Experiencing engine shakes thinking it's related to the cold start/emissions. To offset put in neutral at stop lights or when stopped. Once a week take a cruise with your car no music roll down the windows and bond..

When you clean the throttle body, make sure to spray the air/idle control-valve port with throttle-body cleaner. This port from the throttle-body to the air/idle control-valve gets full of the same gunk that collects on the air intake side of the throttle plate. Excess spray will cause temporary rough idling. Removing and cleaning the air idle control valve is best but it risks striping the Phillip's head mounting screw. Toyota should have used a hex bolt.

If you haven't figured it out, it's the transmission mount that affects the shake so much!

I had all 4 mounts changed in my Camry, the transmission is the most tricky one to access.

Funny I have a 1995 Camry 2;2 always kept up service intervals never a issue I know they tend tolink from Camshaft crankshaft pulleys seals also alternator regulator but easy fix other amazing well other well engineered Japanese vehicle🤩🤩🤩🤩

Maintenance and pretty much the joy of working on her she's getting old hope I get one more year. Pretty much did 80% of the timing belt change. For the lights, change the light failure switch on the driver side in the trunk under the carpet. It's in a plastic box, you have to open the box and swap it at a junk yard.

I have a 2000 camry 2.2l and it's eating gas up, at idle my long term fuel trim has postive 20% and when revved up to 2000 plus RPM it drops to 5%-7% postive. Any idea where I can start to fix issue?

Try putting back on the stock intake assembly. Maf could be not send correct info to computer. Look up ivan from pine hollow diagnostics. He has a very good video on this.

Cool! Love the filter, planning on getting a Can-am myself, Yeah I think it's the little rubber seal that lets in all the water, I've got a 93 as well and the seal in pinched and out of place so water gets in and has actually darkened inside because of the dirt that also got in it... I wanted to ask you a question... My Tach and Speedo aren't working... But All other lights and my Temp and Fuel gauge are still functioning. Today I changed out the cluster and it's the same thing... I was watching a video on another 93 and he was changing a speed sensor (not associated with the same problem I'm having) and I saw your video up next.. What do you think it could be? I checked the gauge fuse behind the storage compartment on the left by the dash dimmer/ LH-RH window tilt buttons and it is in great shape. Tested it and got a light that it is functioning... I don't know what I'm going to do... Any advice would be helpful, Thanks.

#1 Fan I just fixed both my tach and speedo. The capacitors were blown and cost me about $5.00 to buy new ones. They work perfect now.

#1 Fan check out the Toyota nation forum. There's a post about it that shows how to do it. The tach takes two 10uf 25 volt caps. The speedo takes 1-6.8uf 25 volt, 1-22uf 25 volt and 1- 100uf 25 volt caps. They are on the edge of the speedo. The tach they are a little different but easier to get too. Btw my fuel and temp gauges always worked too.

Great video, I have a 93 also and my spark plugs are getting burnt black. Also its running thru my gas bad. When i turn my car on i see a lil black smoke. Any suggestions on the gas consumption? Ive heard its a fuel sensor getting stuck and sending too much fuels to my sparkplugs

Try seafoam better with two people to keep up idle. Pour some vac break line in let sit for 15 mins.

"All that emission stuff" 😂😂😂😂 My 93 they a code 71 for an egr malfunction and after I tested the egr modulator and valve, I replaced the vacuum solenoid and it was fixed. Main 3 parts. You make it sound like it's so hard 😂😂

@@KaleidoscopeKara fuck thatt but I think if mine went bad I would get a code right? The problem with our 93s is that we have no code and a rough idle so we have no idea what to fix. That's what makes it so hard. The only thing left for me to check is the egr system and if it's not that then I'm throwing the car off a bridge.

During the summer the vibration is a lot more tolerable so maybe I'll get more motivation when it's cold again haha

For the most part I ran ethanol-free gas and sea foam every other year. so no injectors issues. You might try sea foam in the tank. Also if you like driving till it's almost empty and it starts running rough could be water in the tank, bottle heet. You can use voltage meter or tester but that above my pay grade. Normally that part is bulletproof

Fuel pump is under the back seat on the driver side. You can lift the cover look at the fitting see if there's any wrench / tool marks. looks clean might be newer. if it's older it's layered with dust and grime might be original mine made it past 300k. Or with the motor cool down unscrew the fuel filter, find a barbed fitting hose Run it to a bucket/container have someone turn on the car for a brief second and see if it pours out. Is going to replace the fuel pump. use Nut Open End Wrench Set. When I would go to the junk yards I would see that they were stripped on the fittings. Good luck my baby going to heaven in a few weeks aka the junk yard. Transmission start to slip and I think the fuel pump gave out

I know I'm late to the party here, but a common issue is the efi relay (the round relay in the fuse box beside the battery). They tend to stick.kf you pull it and tap it on something, it should work. About $7 to replace on rock auto.

Mine did the R light when brakes are pressed, was a short in the cable in the trunk right where it hinges, bending over and over again caused the short.

Looking for info on a "rear suspension cradle" on this 93 camry. Mechanic says it is what all the rear suspension is attached to and mine is rusty. I can't seem to find the part. Anyone know what it is called? Also, I'm leaking oil like crazy. Could it just be the mentioned sensor?

Also went over the places to check for oil make sure the engine is cool also it could be the drain plug or the Pan. depending on how much you love the car be careful on the pricing that crossmember is expensive wishing you the best

If I had to take a wild guess I think it's the distributor. Make sure the car is off. Open up distributor wipe bottom of cap with a white Rag and see if there's any oil on it. With cap off the capacitor power pack is on the bottom half of distributor. Inspect for crAcks. How many miles are on this vehicle? Also clean the battery post sounds silly but this happen to me a few times. Especially if it has aftermarket terminals connectors

I've changed the spark plugs motor mounts spark plug wires timing belt distributor.. But under $100 that might be worth a Gamble

So if you take off the distributor cap crank the engine see if the rotor turns, if not could be broken timing belt. I replace my whole distributor. I've never messed around with it but there could be some igniters above the fuel filter.
