SOME IDEAS ON HOW TO MAKE BIRD TOYS YOURSELF Edit: Please be extra careful when adding the mophead toy to your birds cage! Supervise if the bird is eating the cotton fibers, since that can lead to crop compaction!

Thank you for the video! Plastic is bad for birds and can harm them. I would get paper straws instead. The mop seems really great, but they can get tangled in it or ingest it and get a crop impaction.

When it comes to egg cartons my macaws love em as well but it was only yesterday i tried pull the label off and discovered its stick with some on known glue, so from now on mine will only get the bottom part, we have to be so careful and there's so many hidden dangerous we have to share when we find something worrying..

9:52 the reason people dip it is so the wood inside turns red also. I don’t know if this is always the reason but my bird handler told me he dips it so that when the bird break it open they won’t be discouraged when it’s no longer bright colors
@Weloveparrots23 жыл бұрын
But he would have to soak it a long time! Not sure if that even works! Hmm

Hi! Do you have a video showing how you organize your various parts? I've tried a couple of different ideas but they aren't quite working for me. I have 7 birds: a Goffin's Cockatoo; a Rose Breasted Cockatoo; 2 Green Cheek conures; a budgie; a cockatiel; and a dove.

Thank you for this wonderful video! Also I have a question. Do you think cockatiels would like the big wood blocks to be in their toys? Would they chew on them?
@Weloveparrots2 Жыл бұрын
I would say for cockatiels I would get small wood pieces made with soft wood or even balsa wood! They may touch it a little but if it is too big or hard they most likely won’t play with it 😊

With 7 cockatoos a Congo grey & 3 smaller parrots Buying toys that get destructive easily is hard for me too expensive. So I need to start making my own. Help!

I would suggest not using the mop head as toy. Cotton rope may cause fatal indigestion issues by accumulating in the crop. There are many reported such cases. You can find more details in the internet.
@sparkleparrots66212 жыл бұрын
It would be great if you could modify the video so others don’t use cotton rope as toys as well. Thanks a lot in advance.

I am aware of this and it had been mentioned! My birds do not eat cotton and I always advice to supervise your birds! Thank you for the info! I will add a note in my description!

Hi I love how you make it easy to make toys for your birds. Question what was the kind of coloring you use to color the wood pieces?
@Weloveparrots23 жыл бұрын
I just use regular or organic food coloring 😊

I know this is an older video but do you have issues with your birds eating the weeds or ingesting them my bird actually is strong enough to break them up you have to break them apart and I just am afraid hes gonna try to ingest them

So many good ideas!!! Thank you I heard you can't use rope like from a mop because it can collect in the birds stomach and kill them, is that true? 🌞🌻🦩
@Weloveparrots23 жыл бұрын
Well I get 100 cotton and you do have to watch it! If you have a bird that likes to eat the rope then it’s not a good idea! The rope can collect in the crop, causing crop impaction! Very painful and needs surgery can be deadly. Mine don’t eat rope and I watch carefully! When they have taken all the pieces off I take the toy out and restock!! Thank you for watching my video! I hope you subscribed I always add new videos 😊😊

when you were splitting the mop strings, an orb flew in front of the camera. you have someone watching over you. it wasn't a dust particle or any type of animal. it made a sharp dip and went up towards you on your right side. I know you probably gonna think im insane but watch this video over again, you can see orbs behind you when you start talking about the mop. if you look at the black tv behind you, you will see 3 or 4, which means they are trying to gain energy to form...then as you place the first bead on the string from the mop you will see the big one in front of you. i dont know why i had to comment on this video, or why God put it on my heart to speak out about things i seen but, call me crazy or what not, I don't know you and you don't know me but it was on my heart to let you know that someone is trying very hard to get your attention and all the little things you have going on around you, is whomever is trying to reach you. I hope you find it in your heart and mind to know you are not alone ever.

@@Weloveparrots2 I am always so happy to hear this type of feedback. I generally say things to ppl like in elevators or passing and i have to stop and go back and be like "Hey... so i just gotta say this...." and usually ppl while on the spot are usually i feel, in awe, shock or embarrassed. Especially if i say something to a particular individual amongst a crowd. People usually look at me crazy, confused and in disbelief or even ignore me and brush me off. Its nice to interact with someone that seems genuinely appreciative and understands and believes me when i say something. Most ppl think its "witchy" but i say witchcraft is a label society has placed upon things in which they do not understand. I do not practice any type of witchcraft, i can only attest to this... I come from a long line of women, strong, sacrificial, spiritual, loving and determined women... I am the oldest of 4 girls and when we were born our mother gave us all back to God bc we were lent to her from God. She has instilled lots of morals and character in each of us and along the way she has shown us to see beyond the naked eye. I am proud to be the woman i am and proud of where i came from and taught. I have a gift and with age ive became less stressed about the thoughts of others yet its still a burden on me later if i don't speak on what is in my heart. Im glad you received it so well and i wish you luck and comfort in knowing someone is watching over you and with you always.
