i love this because, throughout practically my entire life ive seen touhou content anywhere and everywhere i went, but i never knew that it was touhou. pictures of characters, song remixes, animations, subtle references, and finally when i played funky friday i recognized a song that i heard and found out that all that touhou content ive seen throughout my life was actually touhou, and now im a touhou fan and im slowly rediscovering all those slight references i saw many years ago, and recognizing them as touhou and not just some random anime girls

@@neonwolfgod In a nutshell, Touhou is a bullet hell video game series made mostly by one japanese man, ZUN. Touhou 19 is coming out this year, though there are many more than 19 games in the series in total. Touhou is most known by the character designs (and how many there are) and of course: music, all composed by ZUN. Music is how I personally got into touhou but for some others it's the art, or the story, or the games themselves. There's something for everyone here.

I remember the day when one of my comments on an upload of "Dancing Water Spray" from Touhou Scarlet Weather Rhapsody suddenly had many replies from players of a game called "Friday Night Funkin'" and I tried my best to give them a warm welcome. I'm sort of concerned, ever since I left the Friday Night Funkin' fandom and stopped playing Friday Night Funkin' games in Roblox (example: Funky Friday). I was concerned ever since that if Touhou is widely known in the Friday Night Funkin' community, then children who know FNF might think to the REAL Touhou game: "Wait, look! This dude literally copied (example: Sakuya, Marisa, Reimu, etc..) and copied them to this game! They copied FNF! Mom! This game copied FNF characters!!! (Because I asked some people on which game Sakuya was from. Not sure with their answers but one said: She's from FNF as far as I can remember or probably they did not say it.)" And the fact that I saw that Koishi Komeiji (AKA my favorite Touhou character from Touhou 11) became an FNF mod made me more scared and concerned. It's as if people who mod Touhou characters to FNF made children think the REAL Touhou game copied FNF as said in a few sentences ago. But, I won't blame them for making Touhou mods. I am just letting them do what they must but that is only my concern. Played an osu!mania map of this with a buddy for my school's talent show last year and it is until now the most memorable thing I did as a senior back then. It genuinely pisses me off when I see people completely misinterpret character personalities because of unreliable sourcing, or in other more often cases, *completely degrade a character to the point where they're practically just terribly created OC's.* A few examples include how people view Yukari as some 100% evil eldritch who doesn't give a shit about Gensokyo's welfare, or degrading Flandre into nothing more than a physcotic murderer, or labeling Sakuya as a massive edgelord.
