You will continue to see them sitting on your shelves because of the price point. A vast majority of people will not shell out 40 dollars for a padlock. This being said knowing how shelf real estate works in stores. Items in stores are not there for static displays either they sell or they dont. If they dont sell they are gone.

Most Excellent -- Super job by PacLock to get quality locks out to the mass market. I note using a normal angle grinder blade on aluminum can clog up the cutting wheel and get you nowhere fast.

Sweet! Hope people don't shy away thinking they're aluminum-bodied locks because they aren't made of laminated steel like a lot of retail customers are familiar with in master locks. There's also the matter that people will have to read the package to tell what the locks are made of, it can't be assumed they they are steel

As I suspected, clam shell packaging is much more secure than any lock. Demonstrating that retail cares more about their security than any lock manufacturer cares about mine. I suppose it means that no door manufacturer ever has to offer frustration-free door opening - it's always too easy.

Good to see a more pick-resistant lock available with customer-serviceable cores. Yakima (car-top, back of car, and other mounting systems) rack systems have been available with keyed-alike packs of cores (up to eight, when I was selling them ten years ago), and they were okay locks, but far from as resistant to picking as the PacLock stuff.
