Thanks Dave! It's a great place. That road is superb for scenery. Always tempting to open the bike up a bit but then you find gravel or a sheep and think twice :-D

Cheers! It's a cracking route and the butter tubs are fascinating to look at. A bit of care is needed in the strong wind though I guess if I fell in the people were on site to pull e back out :-D

Thanks for risking life and limb for our viewing pleasure. Some of the best 'close up' shots of the actual Buttertubs I've seen. I wanted to get up that way for a long weekend this year, but like most my other plans, that never quite worked out. Looked rather windy up there, not a big fan of riding in the wind I must admit, especially a full day out like that wouild have been for you guys.

@@CalmBiker Will do, and thanks for the 'invite'! Although you may well regret my somewhat sedate pace on my old Honda 500! I have a feeling we may well still be limited pretty much to the UK in 2021 :-( (I toured the Pico's in 2018/2019 having never taken my bike abroad before) If that's the case I may well do a week up there!

Great well filmed ,and informative video Richard . This day out you had with Graham produced one of the best series I have seen on youtube .Your footage confirms my thoughts . So much was I inspired that I purchased from Australia, the complete series of All Creatures and Small . That series stands the test of time and is still brilliant .

I remember watching that one as a child, though under some duress :-D They've just remade it. I haven't seen much of it yet but Mrs C is enjoying it. Maybe I should give the original another try!

@@CalmBiker I have managed to see the first episode of the remake and it seems to be very good . I bought the Dad's Army movie they made a few years ago ,and couldn't watch it past half way .Those original actors were so perfect for their roles .

I didn't know how "Butterubs" got it's name. I've done a run from Pately Bridge - Hawes - Tan Hill. It's so very nice. A ride to go slow and actually see the view rather than head down and "1000 yard stare".

I did that ride a year or so ago in the other direction. Spent too long at Tan Hill Inn though, so the old sweet shop was closed when I got to Pately Bridge. I'd promised Mrs C a quarter of sweets too :-D

It's quite an impressive place and well worth a visit. Those guys on bicycles must be amazingly fit to ride up that road!

It's a nice one for a not-too-quick ride. Continuing on to the road from Hawes to Ribblehead viaduct is where the fun starts. That's my favourite road. Shame it's so far away.

There are some great views across the moors, every turn and a different view. If that was the Fenland mountain rescue on a training course then they were out of their depth 🤣. Great video mate. Take care. 👍👍👍

That was an amazing day out on a motorcycle and I enjoyed every single mile 👌 I had forgotten about the wind definitely going down that way next season haven't been to Tan Hill either 😅
