My Brother has the exact same problem with his Hood Release. To bad you can just replace that broken plastic. Great video on fixing it.

I did this last week finally after having the cable for over a year. I also changed to the never style latch ( like in the video) instead of my old rusted 94-95 style.

Thanks for the help doing that right now to mines!

Great Job! Thanks. I could never get back through the last little place. Much easier with the battery out and the ground screws taken out.

Oh man, I just saw the last 3 videos all on 94-04 Ford mustang fixes. Absolutely subbing, if nothing else those 3 videos have helped me learn more about the specifics of my own thrice-owned mustang and how to take care of it, than the more general 'this is how a car works' type of videos I tend to find. Usually ends up being that my own car is juuust different enough that I can't take anything away from those videos, cause I don't know what applies and what doesnt. I hope you post more videos on this car! It's really helped me get to know my own.

Dude I’m glad they helped! This comment definitely made my day! I’m planning to do more soon, especially once I finish grad school.

@@s.a.m.5565 hell yeah, my dude! : D In the mean time, if you happen to know about any other channels that talk about their mustangs, do you mind pointing me their way? All I can find is aftermarket modding stuff, but I just want to see general maintenance, lmao. This car of mine has been through the wringer (and minimum 3 owners, could have been 4 or more, history gets questionable after the first 3), but I love it to bits and I can't imagine driving anything else. I want to take care of it, but man I don't know jack about cars outside of what's specific to mine. Right now im in the process of trying to get my hood open, that's how I found this video actually. The lever is busted from the inside, and I got a cousin who knows the ins and outs of most cars, but I'm tryna diagnose what I can to speed up the process for him later. Your video definitely helped me get the first step of that. Now I at least know what the hell im looking at xD

Ya man of course! Honestly I only know of a few that really have videos on 94-04 mustangs and it’s definitely a mixture of mods and maintenance, but hopefully they help you out. AmericanMuscle.com ChrisFix Late Model Restoration Chris Sipple Ozomeroman

The fishing line is a great idea! - The cable does bolt down behind the release handle - but no big deal - thanks

boy using a string was a great idea. I ended up making somewhat of a cone with some black tape at the cable end. It helped a lot.

My hood release pull thing won’t open the hood so I can’t like open my hood at all how did you get yours open? It’s 04 mustang I pull it super hard and it doesn’t open

My cable still worked so I didn’t have the same difficulty. I’ve read and seen a couple videos before about being able to somehow be able to reach the hood latch either through the grill or up from behind the bumper to be able to release the hood.

Hey bro which hood latch catch do you have on it I can’t find any :/
@s.a.m.55653 жыл бұрын
I still have the stock hood latch. lmr.com/Product/Search?q=Hood+latch has a lot of options for hood latches. Hope that helps!
