13:07 As an SN95 owner, I assure you the hood is not made of plastic. It's made of fiberglass. A plastic hood would never pass a crash test.

I can also confirm on behalf of my father. The hood of his car was damaged and it exposed the fiberglass.

Lots of them came with fairly large gaps between the front fenders and doors, on one side or the other, mine included. On mine, ( 1994 GT ) there is a large, uneven gap on the passenger side. I saw the same, on a brand new 1998 Mustang GT, that I test drove, and was thinking about buying, so it's something that didn't improve over time. Some were arrow straight, others were not. The reasons for which, maybe no one knows ??? Maybe some of these were built on Monday mornings, when half the staff were dealing with hangovers ?????

So I’ve heard on and on about balanced driveshafts installation. As in when you change your ujoints you must reinstall your driveshaft exactly as you had taken it out. According to this video, the assembler just slammed a driveshaft in and went on to the next car. I call myth busted on balanced driveshaft install.
@73challenger50315 жыл бұрын
I've heard that, also. I guess, since it's balanced already, it doesn't really matter how it goes in, right? That's like saying, once your wheels are balanced, you need to install them the same way every time!

Little known fact about automotive manufacturing - it's also possible to order what's known as a body-in-white. This is a body shell with no powertrain and no VIN number. These are generally not street legal but have a variety of uses - private research projects, but more often, for various vehicle motorsports applications including drag racing, NASCAR, and showroom stock racing for which street legal compliance is not necessary or not desired. Some companies like BMW even subcontract vehicle manufacturing to other companies overseas when manufacturing a vehicle to meet a particular nation's safety or emissions requirements isn't cost effective to oversee directly. The manufacturer provides "knock down kits" to the subcontractor who then assembles the car on their own.

20:40 LOL it mentions the 5 liter v8, which is super old low tech single cam pushrod v8, says it looks similar to the old ones and then shows a dual overhead cam v8 in the computer sim haha :D I love the old 5.0 but this was hilarious! 22:03 lol again the sn-95 used a sloppy front suspension spring separate from the shock but then the computer sim shows a more advanced coil on strut design hehe. So wrong lol. I'm shocked they didn't show the live axle being installed and then cut to a computer sim of an independent rear suspension. ;)

@geraldscott43022 жыл бұрын
My '98 Mustang (V6 5 speed) has a steel hood, not plastic. There is a huge design problem with the undercarriage of the SN95 Mustang. They did not actually use any structural steel on the underbody. The whole bottom of the car is made of the same gauge steel as the body. No heavier frame rails anywhere. This makes the Mustang not only VERY flexible, but there are no lifting points under the car. No matter where you lift the car from, you are going to bend something, the only exceptions being the rear axle and the front lower control arms. Even the K member that supports the engine is made of thin sheet metal. This is basically a carryover from the Fox platform, without a doubt the worst design Ford has ever used. Many different models have used this platform, and they all have the same problems.

@midnight3472 ай бұрын
That underpowered 4.6 can make as much power as alot of ls and 2jz if you put the money into it you spend on swapping some other bs. If you have a 4v teksid there is even less reason to swap anything. They are rods and pistons away from big power. They have a forged crank and strongest block ever put in a Ford. A fucking 2j costs a fortune and isn't even close to worth it for the potential it has. Ls are super overrated and the only ones that are cheap are 4.8 ans 5.3 truck motors which need alot of work to make good power. I get so tired of these idiots pushing this swap nonsense always pushing people to use something other than a Ford engine in a Ford. If you don't wanna mod a Ford why are you buying a Ford?
