Looks like a lot of work adding that piece to the rear. I suppose there was nothing you could do to the engine cover to make it fit... Excellent result though, as always.

Wow! Some very clever and intricate work you're doing here - fit and finish might actually end up better than the real thing was!

Because you added a hinged boot lid it moved the boot lid further back, adding that 0.5mm to the rear section was genius! Been following this build ................. not been getting much sleep lately! ; ) Pity Tamiya never made a Lotus Esprit model, as I used to own one of them years ago, an S3 ( model before the Turbo ). I'd love to build one of those and keep on a shelf as a reminder of better times in my life. You're a true master, thank you so much sir. TURK - France

I doubt the fit and finish on an actual Europa will be as good as this miniature.

I was thinking the same thing. These things were more kit than car. I believe that, in the 70s, the quality control team at Lotus was Colin Chapman’s nephew and a checklist consisting of the words “Tires, 4 each”.

I had a yellow one, it was fantastic to drive. But fit and finish is. as you say, better on this model! My drive UK to Spain and back is a motoring highlight, it was perfection.

Bro! Those Pillars around the Doors are so Tiny! Great work it breaking them!!!
Heavens, was that the right move? Plating the tail instead of shortening the boot? Master, was this wise… all of the sharp detail… I am lost 😞 Please explain. Just joking. But sometime you bring out the crazy and this was one. So much sanding. …and here come the door jams. 😊

There is no correct answer. The creator of the plastic model can do it freely. You can try it in various ways. That will open up endless possibilities. Thanks😃

@@kenji-plasticmodels 😂 …. I see you past on the steering wheel 🤔 so treacherous. I will watch in silence.
"Sadly" I've bought this model in the 1990's and back then models doesn't include photoetched metal parts 😞. I know Kyosho released it in die cast metal 1/18 scale but didn't buy it. I still have my Tamiya 1/24 unbuilded of course 😃. I have many unbuilded Tamiya models. I love scale cars but as I said before, I don't have so much patience 😞 and at the end I got desperate and model pays the price, I mean, it does not end well.
