At 8 years old I took my old sears trolling motor off my 8' jon boat and mounted it to the side of the haul of my neighbors airboat so we could fish for bass That was the first airboat in s.Florida with a trolling motor

I have a 16ft airboat built by Combee in 1992. The buyer requested a side mount for a trolling motor, and they built in a pad on the starboard side about 4 ft from the transom, for a trolling motor mount. Pad is still on the boat but not the trolling motor.

John doe a v8 with gearbox is too heavy. that 480 only weighs probably 400 pounds max with supercharger and gearbox.

Everybody's a-boat runs an easy 95 mph until sombody shows up with a radar gun and suddenly the boat is'nt running right and gets put on the trailer
