96 - Installing A Culvert | Kubota LX2610 Compact Tractor

In this video I use m Kubota LX2610 compact tractor to dig out a ditch then install a large culvert. The ground is full of sticky clay that clings to the tractor tires and bucket, this makes it a little more difficult to do.

And its not all work!! Gotta take time to play - after turning my pond into a skating rink, and a whole bunch more of outdoor activities.

Thank you Sir, yes it was nice that I didn't have to deal with rocks. It doesn't happen to often. Although, there are a lot of massive rocks in other areas of the property. Have a great weekend!

Clumpy grass/sod and wet soil is so difficult to grade. You did a great job. I recently had to use my box blade to grade out some 12" ruts I made with our truck and trailer this winter. It was so tough with the clumps!

If I am correct to what you interpreted as a greenhouse is actually my practice net cage. I hit golf balls in it during the summer and in the winter I shoot hockey pucks. I need to weedwack inside it, I just haven't gotten around to it yet. Thanks for your support Gary, l really appreciate it!

Good morning Ben, thanks and you are right no rocks, well just a couple of very small ones. It made it nicer to dig. The clay was heavy though. I do have areas on the property that are very different to dig. All the best Ben!

My neighbor has a big Case backhoe and he charges me $50 for him and the machine. I can’t own one for that. Besides that, he is a really good operator.

That is an excellent price. That surely beats the cost of having one. I have a lot of backhoe and excavator experience and both machines are very therapeutic to operate. Have a great weekend Gary!

Better to go too big with the culvert than not big enough. I guess that it is go big or go home.

Thanks Alex, I picked up the culvert in the Kawartha lakes area, private sale, it was a brand new piece they didn't use. Got when I went down to the Woodland Mills store.
