960728AM - DID THE DEMONS FROM THE PIT--COHABIT WITH HUMANS BEFORE THE FLOOD IN GENESIS 6?

Satan the Adversary has tried to mess up God’s plan over and over. There are at least 7 times He tried to do so.
He tempted and led to sin Adam & Eve in Genesis 3. But God promised a seed. A deliverer who would redeem humanity.
He incited self-righteous Cain to kill faith-righteous Abel in Genesis 4.
In our text this morning Genesis 6, he tried to corrupt the entire race, and thus erase the promised seed.
When God singled out Israel and Moses as the deliverer he tried to get Moses out of the way by riches, then murder then pride, etc.
Satan then tried to get God to destroy Israel with the golden calf, Exodus 32-24.
He then tried to defile Israel with intermarriage with Midianite women in Numbers 25.
Finally, he tried to murder Christ in Nazareth, then Jerusalem and finally through Judas.
You see the Lord has planned to pour out His wrath against sin two times on earth. First at the Flood secondly at the Tribulation. Both are fantastic pictures of His Grace. In the flood times God sent Enoch a preaching prophet who told the world;
Jude 14-15 Now Enoch, the 7th from Adam, prophesied about these men also, saying, “Behold, the Lord comes with ten thousands of His saints, 15 “to execute judgment on all, to convict all who are ungodly among them of all their ungodly deeds which they have committed in an ungodly way, and of all the harsh things which ungodly sinners have spoken against Him.” (NKJV)
Noah presents an interesting picture of Christ in His work of redemption. Noah’s name means “rest” (see Genesis 5:29 He named him Noah and said, “He will comfort us in the labor and painful toil of our hands caused by the ground the LORD has cursed.” (NIV), and Christ brings us rest Matthew 11:28-30 “Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. 29 Take my yoke upon you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. 30 For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” (NIV), and redeems us from the curse Galatians 3:13 Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us, for it is written: “Cursed is everyone who is hung on a tree.” (NIV).
Noah and Enoch together represent Israel and the Church.
Noah went through the judgment and was kept safe, just as the 144,000 and the Jewish remnant will go through the tribulation to establish the Kingdom on the earth.
Enoch was raptured before the judgment came (5-21-24, Heb. 11:5), just as the Church will be raptured before the wrath of God is poured out upon the world.

And then when things happen & there is no foundation on the Lord Jesus Christ or his Word, it doesn't bode well. Yes, Jesus is our healer & the most important healing ever is the healing of our spirits into right relationship w/Him. He promises to meet all our needs according to His riches in glory, not give us all our wants & desires. The American gospel has done a lot of harm to both the believing & unbelieving.

I hear it from the non believers, the robbing of the poor, and so forth, but mainly they have not pointed out, or totally neglected, the serious necessity of being born again. Salvation, only thru Christ, is the message. All the other stuff is just self improvement glorified. @Della Russell Sister, the King James bible was not written by God, it is a translation by learned men who used the best information they had at the time to translate the Hebrew and Greek. There are more accurate translations now in the NASB and ESV. We have recovered more manuscripts and archaeological finds that have clarified words from the ancient languages. None of these translations whether the King James, NASB, or ESV changes orthodoxy or God’s message to man. There is mo alteration of man’s original sin or need for faith in Christ and Christ aline to be saved.

It’s hard for most to even see it because they don’t know the Bible or history. Once their eyes are opened after deep study it’s hard not to see it. The worst is the kid movies and superhero movies subtly including false narratives. Trolls 2 and Moana both starting with their “in the beginning” creation stories. Horrible, I don’t care if “it’s just fantasy” it’s blasphemy. It’s quite sickening when you know the truth and can see what they’re up to. With enough subtle cues over years of growing up and you get the confused generation you have today. Pray more eyes are opened to the truth and stay open.

Read the verse before Luke 2:14, it says they were "saying" or declaring verse 14, not singing. Modern-day storytelling of these verses is not accurate. The song "Hark the Herald Angels Sing" is not biblical.

So the New Testament still seems to be holding onto the angel meaning.

@@comradeandrov567 I think you answered your own statement... That is why Enock was not placed in the canon of scripture! Jesus was referring to the evil being done by all except Noah. Those referred to by Giants were not so much in their size but in their strong-handed and evil manner as Cain who killed his brother Able. They were evil strong-willed men who demanded that others should follow their directions such as Nimrod. That is how things continue in our day as Hitler another example of those giants.

No logic in believing that scenario. #1) Why does an immortal spirit beings have sperm to procreate? #2) The new testament says there are different kinds of flesh and a mating like that would violate God's rule of the seed, after his own kind. #3) If there were a fallen-angel/human mating, then why was God angry with man and say he would destroy man off the face of the earth? Why not be angry with the fallen angel and destroy them from the heavens instead? #4) Jesus said in the after-life we are not married nor given in marriage but are like the angels in heaven. Stop believing the deception that satan can create life. He can only destroy it.

I love your lessons. I hang on every word. One thing though. I remember clearly counting out the time between God's announcement of 120 years and the day all men except the 8 peequation. You see, he was telling them they had only 120 years to live. It's been awhile, but I think the pattern of this destruction was exactly the same as Daniel's equation.

I really appeciate Dr. Barnetts clairification on this subject...this suprisingly has been a very divisive subject now days in the Christian Church...Whatever you believe about this topic ALL these angels and evil people associated with this...were drowned (the people) or delt with (Angels thrown in Tartarus - The bottomless pit.) Only Noah, his family and animals survived. ( I personally lean toward his explianation @ min. 26:58 - 30:00)
