Did this work for 3 cylinder high idle or just normal high idle?

It unlocks both. I have 3 cylinder high idle and normal high idle. I though the same thing when I got this done, but it does give you 3 cylinder high idle. I then put a moparman1973 high idle switch in as well, it lets you put the truck in high idle whenever you want.

So I take it you did this through a dodge dealership? And another question. Has it worked for you still? Only reason I ask is because I’ve heard some people do this and it works for about a week or so and then just stops working

Yes I went to a dealership. It was $50 and took like 5 mins. Yes it still works and should be permanent, even if you disconnect the batteries. You should never have to enable it again. If for some reason it does go away or stops workin the dealership should go into the computer for free.

How do i lower idle rpm. On a 99.24valve.

Unfortunately, there is no “quick” solution that I know of. You might have to purchase a throttle position sensor (tps) through a local parts store and then set that by, unhooking the battery or batteries for 10mins. Then hook them up, turn key to run position, and slowly press the accelerator down, then release the accelerator slowly. That should set the idle. You can always try resetting the tps, before buying one to see if that helps.
