Still can't believe we didn't beat this team in the second round that year. May have lost to Dallas anyway but we still shouldn't have blown a 2-0 series lead.

They were on their 3rd string goalie. Osgood was hurt. Ranford was hurt. Maracle had to play two games.

@@alwillk Ranford was hurt? No wonder he got shelled in Games 3 & 4 at the Joe. What a difference a venue makes, I guess, because he was spot on in Colorado, and then in Detroit, he was a shell of himself "case in point".

He was, but he’s also one of the dirtiest superstars ever. Very sneaky and it gets forgotten with his reputation at that, as well as a known diver. There’s a reason he only finished in the top 30 of the Lady Byng voting once, and superstars are usually guaranteed top 10

Alex Tanguay too. Forsberg had 4 career GWG vs Detroit so did tanguay.

Do you have the game where Yzerman steals from Bourque and beats Roy in overtime. I believe it was 2000.

Actually it was 2001. I was at that game. It was on ESPN's Sunday night hockey. That was a Hall of Fame play by Yzerman. Final score was 4-3 in OT. Yzerman had 2 goals that night. Kirk Maltby and Steve Duchesne had the others. For Colorado, they got goals from Shjon Podein, Joe Sakic, & Chris Drury. Manny Legace was in net for Detroit, and of course, Patrick Roy manned the pipes for the Avalanche.

This was one of the weaker regular seasons the team had during the playoff streak.

The first one easily, 1990-91. I thought the 2013 roster was the weakest of the post-Lidstrom teams, but oddly enough they went further in the playoffs than the teams after.

@@awood40 if the big choke job against Chicago didn’t happen I feel like we would’ve at least made the Stanley cup. I also wonder how our season would’ve been if we played a full season. 2015-16 team got very lucky to get in tbh on the last day with rask getting hurt

@@awood40 Yeah, especially since they lost 3 games to Toronto during the regular season. They really had our number that year. Of course, Cujo played a major part in that.
