Lmfao! I came to the comments hoping I wasn’t the only one thinking this! They literally say “Someone else who loves me And trusts me fast asleep She's been good to me And she deserves better than that”
@dbongoloid9541
@dbongoloid9541 Жыл бұрын
This song isn't about cheating. Unfortunately this song is about falling out of love with someone you genuinely thought you were in love with. Sadly, sometimes. The only way to reasonably end a relationship like that is to cut all ties and don't turn back. It helps to get over something like that fast. That's why the video is him boxing, he's fighting the urge to stay to avoid the inevitable pain.
@robiapicca5967
@robiapicca5967 Жыл бұрын
@@dbongoloid9541 The song is about a guy who has a wife at home and a mistress on the side, and it's his struggle with breaking it off with his mistress even though he loves her more, mainly because he has somebody at home relying on him and he can't let them down.... so, it is 100% about a cheating asshole, but it's little bit deeper than that, as well..

Facts. There's some sort of poetic justice that a second-tier copycat candy pop boy band released a song that can hit so deep and differently depending on your stage in life. 18-year-old me thought the "protagonist" of the song was an a*hole. Now 20 years later, I'm like yeah...I totally get where the dude is coming from. Haha.

No it doesn’t. The only line that be construed as cheating is “we both know I shouldn’t be here” implying he’s together at some place physically with her. Even that doesn’t mean they committed the act because other lines show that he is committed to someone else and can’t go forward with it. You can love someone without fucking them for crying out loud. Women...

Mine is similar. I grew up with these twins. Normally most boys would want both but I was drawn to only one of them. I had to change schools because my grades were horrible. I ran into the one I was drawn to at a store. Normally I would get shy around her. This time I wasn’t. She talked switching to my new school. That’s when I said no stay. I care about her so passionately but I wanted her to succeed. I didn’t know she was pregnant. How if she had came to my new school we probably would’ve gotten together and I’d probably be daddy to her daughter. I still run into her occasionally. We can’t lock eyes cause we could see into each other’s souls.

Backstreet Boys were the best to me because each member in the group had a great voice and had no lead singer they all got to sing. 98 degrees had some good songs but it was all about Nick. N*sync was all about Justin and sometimes JC.

"The Hardest Thing" We both know that I shouldn't be here This is wrong And baby it's killin' me, it's killin' you Both of us tryin' to be strong I've got somewhere else to be Promises to keep Someone else who loves me And trusts me fast asleep I've made up my mind There is no turning back She's been good to me And she deserves better than that It's the hardest thing I'll ever have to do To look you in the eye And tell you I don't love you It's the hardest thing I'll ever have to lie To show no emotion When you start to cry I can't let you see What you mean to me When my hands are tied And my heart's not free We're not meant to be It's the hardest thing I'll ever have to do To turn around and walk away Pretending I don't love you I know that we'll meet again Fate has a place and time So you can get on with your life I've got to be cruel to be kind Like Dr. Zhivago All my love I'll be sending And you will never know 'Cause there can be no happy ending [Chorus] Maybe another time, another day As much as I want to, I can't stay I've made up my mind There is no turning back She's been good to me And she deserves better than that [Chorus]

If that day when chronic leukemia gets the best of me even though I been fighting this deadly disease for now over 5 years I shared a post on 98 degrees music video on you tube it's all because of you about me being the only athlete in 7th grade at 14 years old knowing all the boy band songs and told not to stop singing by the other athletes. Well this is to more years until that day comes when the hardest thing is I'll ever have to do is celebrate my victory when God calls me home. But until then this fight continues forever!
