Loving the burbles on the overruns man . . . . great view of the turning leaves! Well done as always, but why is there always a slow SUV looking at leaves this time of year? So - what to do with the car over the winter? Snow Tires or park her until the spring?

Thank you! The burbles are definitely augmented by the headers, but still stock tune. Honestly the traffic didn't bother me too much because I had all day to make a few runs and just take it all in; I knew it'd be a busy day. Overall I hit some good roads but none translate to camera like this one. As far as winter goes, the Boxster is already sleeping on the lift, but the Cayman has all seasons! The PS4S A/S are amazing. I'm definitely not a good enough driver to need more grip in the dry, and in the wet and cold they're head and shoulders above a P Zero. So as long as it's not too slushy or salty out, I can still get my 3 pedal fix.

Yes, the feeling is night and day. It's still a far cry from my 987, but there's far more feedback.

@thomasz3192 it's hard to describe. It moves around a lot more than before and doesn't feel as heavy. Granted, it's still heavier than a 718 spyder I drove, but it's much more enjoyable. I haven't heard of anyone preferring the factory calibration.

It does! It's about an inch shorter and it's wonderful. It feels like it should have come from the factory this way.

Do the Top Gear headers sound just as good as the Soul or fabspeed ones? On video it seems like the other two brands sound a bit more "GT3" then the Top Gear one. What is your experience? Are they worth the 1000-2000 euro extra?

The difference is usually down to having cats or not. I had a lot of seats time in a GT4 that had soul catless headers. It's definitely louder and more racy. However, that car had a fabspeed exhaust, and while it turned heads, usually it turned the wrong heads. IMO, the best compromise is sport headers with cats and the factory PSE. The car is basically stock for long drives, which is nice, and then you hit the button, and it's very pronounced. It just depends on how wild you want to go and what you can live with.

@@Poorschedriver thanks for your constructive response. But say, PSE is the base in both scenarios. Does it matter to go for the Top Speed catless header or the Fabspeed/Soul catless headers? Because the price difference is significant.

@wout-janwaslander2555 IMO having handled both products you're paying for the name. The construction looked identical to my eye. Ivd had the headers foe over a year and 5000 miles and my bocater has a tip gear exhaust that Is 5 years old and only had a vacuum solenoid fail, a $50 fix. They have great products.

@sevago you need the factory Porsche diagnostic too (PIWIS). You can buy a Chinese clone for about $1000 with everything you need. It's not terribly hard to do and there's a a how to on either rennlist or planet 9.

Nice sounding cayman. I have a question: why there's no "sport plus" lights on your steering but cluster only ? Have you replaced your steering earlier?

You know I've wondered that myself, but as far as I can tell, the steering wheel hadn't been modified. Maybe PDK cars do that?

I don't have any stability active. Sometimes on bumpy roads, I'll add stabilization in the post, but this road was just paved, so it's glassy smooth.
