Now that you have had some seat time in the Porsche, which one feels better? The BMW or Porsche?. Asking cause I know how you like that BMW.

Theres a lot I could say on that honestly. The Cayman is more nimble, obviously more well engineered, and more reliable. Its the "better" car, hands down. But, as street cars, the M3 proved to be more dynamic because of its flaws. Because it was less refined, it offered more bang for the buck at lower speeds. Since its not as reliable, you get to tinker a little bit with it. Because its not as perfect, it leaves modification on the table to make it your own. Also, it is dramatically more practical. I think, taking price out of the equation, you can't go wrong either way. On one hand to own the M3, you'll likely want/need a reliable daily driver, just in case. On the other, while the Cayman won't ever let you down, you'll need to swap cars to pick up anything other than a few bags of grocery. I still miss my M3 and I keep an eye on the market. If the m3 was as reliable as the Porsche, I would probably get back into it and use the savings for the mods that would make it outperform the Porsche.

No Wheel Drive 229 what made the m3 unreliable? Asides from rod bearings, the e92 m3 is usually bulletproof.

LegendInThaMakin I wouldn’t say it’s unreliable but it’s definitely not as reliable as Porsche’s tend to be. Rod bearings are always a nagging doubt, throttle actuators go bad, some people lost ac compressors. These aren’t frequent enough to make someone not buy the car but they are worth mentioning
