Montgomery is a good coach for a team with high performing veterans and ascending young players. When the young guys level off and the veterans start declining, you have to make the move.

I think Tyler Johnson was on of the better players Monday . Monty wouldn't put him on the #pp that's where Tyler is good and it definitely needs a spark

We saw Lindholm in Vancouver. He was not anything more than a 3rd line player . I like Zadorov. He is a prideful player and I believe he can turn it around. It took him a while in Vancouver to figure it out in Vancouver

Sweeney works within the parameters set by Jeremy Jacobs. Jacobs bottom line is that this team cannot tank. He wont accept short term losing for long term gain through the draft because he wants fans in the seats to buy his consessions. If Sacco doesnt get this team rolling Jacobs wont keep him as a coach very long and his replacement will be on the bench quickly. Sacco is a good guy. Hopefully he can get the most from these guys, especially his 1st line because the 1st line has to score every game to get this team going.

The harsh truth is that they have let 3 top coaches go under Mr. Sweeny. Coaches with most of the highest win percentages in Bruins history. Sad to see Monty go but he'll be fine. Might even win a cup down the road. Anyhoo...Go Bruins.

Should have signed Tanev and Guentzel, instead of EL and NZ. We have to live with these mistakes. Carlo,Coyle,Freddy,Zacha should all be on the table and used to trade for younger players. We need to add speed and skill, Bruins must be the slowest skating team in the NHL.

Wait a minute...they get slower? What kind of speed? There is skating speed and hockey speed. Yes, they look out of shape and have a need to increase stamina, but the hockey speed stuff...that can improve. Bigger is not congruent with slower. That is a fallacy. So, to simply throw out that they got bigger and slower...incomplete and incorrect. They are slower right now because they have an immediate need to increase stamina for those 45-second shifts and they need to get the sheer hockey speed (ie moving the puck) also working in concert. So, yes, they can do what they intended with a bigger team, but the players must do their part.

This is aimed at all 4 major sports. So Cassidy gets fired and then goes and wins a cup elsewhere. Keep it up. Keep getting rid of tough coaches who know how to win, Keep bringing in nice, polite, relatable jellyfish, players' coaches and all the championships will be won by the cream of the crap. I'm rooting for Belichick to come back and win another SB while breaking Shula's record. All the while players' coaches around the NFL are having tea parties with the media and their players. Coaches don't get fired for being too tough and not relating to their spoiled brat players well enough. They get fired for losing.

It is idiotic in the extreme to say that anyone that leaves and then does well elsewhere- anyone, player or coach- would have performed at the new, higher level if they had stayed put. You probably think Tyler Seguin would have been a great player and put up his numbers of he hadn't been dealt. This is not fantasy sports. All pieces are replaceable except ownership.
