99-04 Mustang Mach 1 Control Arms & Motor Mounts Install - new edge

In this video, I'm installing new control arms with bushings and ball joints already pressed in. I also tackled the engine mounts since I had to drop the subframe to get access to them. Stang drives like a brand new car with new control arms, I have a better steering response.

The control arms literally took me a whole day 😅. They are such a snug fit, I had to use a Jack to force each side in one at a time because I couldn’t get the bushing to cooperate lol 😂

I had that issue too, but hammer made it work, i have to revisit my control arms, they started clicking.

I can’t find headers for auto, plus i had to get my car legal. I live where they require smog so i had to have everything, from egr to cats. But finally got it signed off. I’m already eyeing the coyote to swap with 😀.

I did and i did terrible. The car wouldn’t lunch properly. It would struggle of the line but later would come alive. I will go again in November to see if the car has improved.

Amel, do you recommend the JLT cold air intake for the Mach 1? I’m debating on the purchase and would like your honest opinion on wether it is a benefit. Hoping it will improve throttle response? Thank you!

I do recommend it, it helps with throttle response plus it enhances the engine sound really good. The quality is good too.

hi what lowering springs did you use. how many inches drop and did this affected alignment ?

I’m using eibach pro. Which is 1.5” drop

@@AmelsGarage so rear springs look rusted and i think i want to changed them. so the springs eibach pro come in set of4 right ? so the 1.5 inch drop is in font and in back?? you car looks awesome.

hi my mach clunks i notice say 70mph i let gas out than press gas suddetnly and i hear a little clunk not engine related i know that. just wonder if they could be motor mounts or lower control arms

If your engine is leaning, you can notice this by looking at shaker relative to your hood. You can determine if it’s your engine mount, but it could also be your rear end differential, if manual car, could be clutch. Kinda hard to say without doing visual inspection. There are ways you can check your ball joints, look it on Google.

@@AmelsGarage yes your right shaker looks little lean to one side but i looked the other size mount it busted the rubber bushing is old and cracked. do you have link where you bought you oem motor mount are the ford brand?
