What was wrong with the alternator here, looked like something was spilled into it.

That was power steering fluid. Not sure if that is usually the main culprit of alternator failures on BMWs

Mine stopped working when oil spilled on it. When oil gets on the slip rings it won't produce power at low RPM.

If you dont know to disconnect your battery when you are working on your car.....you should not be working on your car. SKIP KZbin and take to mechanic. Thats what you do right?
