@@jhuff692 The cupholder portion of the console is completely different. My kit is made to come out exactly in the center of the left half of the cupholder in the silverado console to keep the actual cupholder functional on the right side. It would probably work but it would not look right, and I have no way of finishing it off with a shift boot since the cupholder is not removable like the silverado one to add a shift boot.

I just flipped the 4x4 handle 180 and i cut a slot for the lever and used that brush looking peice like what goes around the inner handles on chevy door panels

This kit is cool we installed one on my boys truck I recommend not using the self tapers long turn if you beat on the truck we removed them and added revnuts

Very nice you did pretty much the same thing I did. Slight difference on mine I took a pair of old swing Springer forks and welded them together after I bent them, then I fitted the 4 by 4 knob on that. Interesting note since the 4WD shifter rod is now oval shaped you need to make a notch where the brush lined slot will interfere with the rod in 4wd low (Not a detriment considering its Spring steel & hidden behind the plastic consul panel).

As ...you did the most important thing of all:. You still manage to provide 2 cup-holders. I have only one dislike - the lower (4wd) shifter location. That's too close to where my fat leg would be. 11" to the middle is good. I always grease the tie rod when I make the shifter but it wouldn't hurt to put a tiny bit of fresh grease in.

It probably depends mostly on the console you use. The kit might bolt up to the 93 transmission and function, but the angles, offsets, and measurements are all specifically for the 99-06 silverado using the 03-06 console. I believe the 90s consoles are all smaller and this shifter will most likely not work in any of them, that's if it even bolts up to the transmission.

Theoretically, could this kit be used in a Tahoe or a Yukon manual transmission swap? Given that the stock shifter location would come under the console in an undesirable spot. So this kit would bring it to a better location.

It would work if you use a factory 5 speed transmission, probably don't want to use the nv3500 for weight reasons so that leaves the nv4500.

Will this work with a T56 or Tremec 6060 in this console? Or do you even need all this with one of those transmissions? Sorry I have an 01 RCSB that was a Procharged 4L80E truck and I sold the D1-SC to change the setup. I'm doing a different motor, ditch the 4L80E and go 6 speed.

This only works with the stock 5 speeds. With the t56 according to what I've read you only really need a custom shift lever to come up through the console since the rear shifter location comes out pretty close to under the cupholder hole.

I really want to get a ZL1 or CTS-V engine and transmission to drop in with just a ported blower, pulleys, intake, headers, fueling, clutch and tune with larger heat exchanger in the bottom of the bumper. But I'm considering throwing all my coilover suspension, 14 bolt, BBK, and an 06 HCI LQ9 with a 6 speed. That way all the kinks can be worked out and then maybe later on build a single turbo kit on the LQ9 making 700hp. With the D1-SC it was making 13 psi on a cam only 5.3 through a 4L80E and a 3200 stall. I was maybe making 550whp or so but I wasn't extremely impressed with how strong it felt.

Impressive concept and I wish you success, but I have concerns about duty cycle and failure points if this is the final product. The attachment point between bracket and transmission hump appears to be done by self-tapping metal screws. Please check often to see if these get pried up. The weld point on the new shaft will also be subjected to forces in multiple dimensions, stressing the weld. Lastly, it is not obvious but I hope you are using delrin shouldered bushings to bear the brunt of the wear, otherwise, the metal on metal contact of the dogbone ends on the yokes will gradually result in grooves and subsequent slack. A stronger design would have larger contact points between connecting shaft to shifters to distribute the oblique forces. Paint the parts to nullify the prospect of corrosion and failure of the device.

It is a good ideal but I wouldn’t take it as no where criticizing are politely at all but if anything advice because something will happen it happens to anything but I do know as far for the bracket tack weld it are use JB weld on it before I crewed it down with red loctite but it is neat though fun GM stopped using them in 1500 but it’s now seems like more people r trying to use the old stick but guess with all the haters for combustion is going to end it all

It all depends where the console ends up compared to where it does on the 03 silverado. It's probably not going to line up and have the shift knob centered in the cupholder.

Probably not from a corvette. You need something that is designed to handle a lot of weight. The zf6 came in 99-06 Silverado 3/4 ton trucks with the duramax that's probably the best option.

I wouldn't recommend it. It makes shifting clunky and difficult, so you end up shifting slower than with the stock shifter. Not to mention the guy that makes them is very rude and hard to deal with, that's why I made this remote shifter kit to work with the stock shifter only. It shifts way easier and smoother with the stock shifter.

The 4x4 lever can be modified the same way, it's just a lot harder to remove the lever from the mechanism. If you're able to remove the lever you can send it to me to modify if you're interested.

The shifter mechanism is different, the way the lever mounts in it is totally different starting in 06. They are way more difficult to remove.
