Take the cross member off on the bottom and install from the bottom. 3 bolts on each side and remove. Cooler goes in from the bottom. Mine came with rubber bushings for the bottom mounts so it sits higher.

Thanks Dan, I believe the cooler should have come with two rubber bushings for the lower mount position. that may have corrected the clearance issue with the upper tabs.

It looks like the new trans cooler sheds heat towards the radiator - does that affect engine temps?

Put it in from the bottom and you don’t have to empty your AC system
