Thank you for the video! Just completed in my 2003 Silverado 2500HD duramax. As another member mentioned, the cv axel does not clear enough to remove axel tube. I found quicker fix instead of removing cv axel, loosening the sway bar link gave me room to clear. Hope that helps someone like you helped me. Thanks again

I just completed this job on '04 2500HD and your video was very helpful. There was quite a bit of finagling to get the axle tube back in. Did driver's side seal and bearing about 5 years ago.

Did the replacement this weekend thanks to your video. Two observations on my 2003 Silverado 2500HD (Duramax). 1) my CV axle did not hang low enough so I had to remove it. 2) be careful check out the roller pins in the bearing. Some of mine came out when I removed the axle shaft. I put them back and used heavy grease to hold them in place during re-install.

Need help please do some of these mines a 1500 yr 2000 do some not have a flat washer above the eared washer mine didn't have one unless it's missing? And is the gear left inside supposed to be able to move?

Thanks for the video; real world driveway application! Is there a suggestion to put the gasket maker on the housing? I don't see anyone else doing this. Best Practice?

My Service manual said to use anaerobic gasket maker on the housing. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
