why there are a lot of negative echoes on the R6 models from 1999 until 2001 that a lot of engine and engine block failures. And that models up to 2001 should be avoided. I found a 2001 first hand with 8000 km in almost new condition but I am hesitant for fear of ending up with an engine that fails.... I even had a dealer who advised me not to buy…. Can you tell me if you had problems with yours ? Or there is différence with Europeen models ? Thank you

Another tip, you can repolish jets and mixing tubes with 0000 steel wool. Leaves a factory finish on them that lasts

Missing 1.5-2.0 inch drip edge. Water should drip onto roof not run down sides of chimney. Also cement is used for crown not mortar.

One of the best powder coat gun reviews I have seen. I not only appreciate the DIY fixes you provide, but the reason for the fixes were probably the most valuable. Great job! Thank you!

mortar. This isn't what mortar is designed for and it WILL NOT last. Mortar is used for masonry joints. Cement with rebar is FAR superior. Also, simply running a bead of whatever caulk around the flue is DIY mistake.

Question should you have cleaned mortar sooner so it doesn't leave all that residue.

Great, is the direktion of the rotation important or the same for the flame? I mean in the case of water is the tornado only in one direktion.... or?
@WillowsWorldofDIY5 ай бұрын
No, the direction of the rotation can go either direction depending on how you position the glass pieces. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
@jorgplietker63475 ай бұрын
Im in Germany here the water flow is like the clock goes... Is the flame beter with the clock or against the clock.... That's my opinion?
@WillowsWorldofDIY5 ай бұрын
@@jorgplietker6347 When I was building it before I made the base, I used welding gloves and held the glass so I could move the glass pieces around to see what worked best. Mine seemed to work a little better in a clockwise direction but that might have been due to the wind direction during my outdoor test. When I tried it in a controlled area (my garage) it worked in both directions and looked the same in hight and amount of rotation of the flame. So I they will work in either direction, I just chose clockwise because the wind direction and the way I was holding it that day during my test. They also worked great on tiki torches with 1-1/2” bamboo but they are very top heavy and need to be secured very well and driven into the ground really good.

what's up buddy ? I'm from Brazil, I have a motorcycle like yours, I had already disassembled and reassembled the carburetor once and everything worked fine, but the last time, my wife took and mixed the carburetor parts to use the container I was using. help me please. 8mm wrench, Flathead or other piece does it have to be adjusted or is it just screwed in all the way?
@WillowsWorldofDIY5 ай бұрын
The Jet Holder is the 8mm and the main Jets and pilot jets with flathead all get screwed in till they are tight. Check the Main Jet sizes, if they are all the same then just screw them in till tight. If there is 2 different sizes of main jets then the larger jets sizes go on the outside 2 carburetors and the smaller jet sizes go on the center 2 carburetors. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!

Everything about this crown is wrong. Plywood does not belong in a chimney. The crown should be concrete, not mortar and should be much thicker than what we see, The crown should hang over the chimney and there is no drip edge. The mortar will seep water, the plywood will rot out and the mortar will collapse into the two hollow spaces.

Why caulk to a clay flu ? Pretty impressed with results with not pouring for such a big crown
@WillowsWorldofDIY9 ай бұрын
I used Hi Temp silicone to allow room for expansion of the clay flu when it gets hot. Leaving a little room for the clay flu to expand when it gets hot will help prevent the clay flu from cracking in the future. I hope this is helpful. Thanks for watching!
