'Spider-Man 3' may have been a mess, but compared to the 'Amazing' movies, it's a slice of fried gold, and it has some stuff in there that I kinda liked. Still, it's pretty clear that Sony's obsession with Venom to cash in on this 'dark, and gritty' trend is what killed 'Spider-Man' the first time, and if this 'Venom' movie turns out worse that 'Spider-Man 3', or the 'Amazing' movies, the blame goes directly to Amy Pascal, and maybe Spidey will finally come home to The MCU.

The problem with Spider-Man 3 is not Venom. The problem was Raimi's lack of interest in the character. He grew up with Green Goblin, Doc Ock, and Sandman, but Venom was in the 80's. He didn't "get" Venom.

Here's the thing, at some point you have to be respectful to the fanbase if you're doing an adaptation. If I was making the first Batman trilogy and I've done two films without using the Joker but instead used Penguin and Riddler, because I don't like the Joker (I love Joker but go with the argument), then I need to suck it up and accept that the fanbase wants Joker and not Scarecrow for the third film.

I remember the night of going to watch Spider-Man 3. It was a Saturday. My dad, my siblings and I went to go pick up my mom from work like 10:30 whatever, and she just said "Hey let's go to the movies" and I was like fuck yeah! So we went to watch Spider-Man 3, and I'll admit, 11 year old me liked it. Aside from that, I remember that me and my siblings went to this church thing on Sundays, they send a bus that came and picked us up, and since we went to the movies late, my mom excused us from going to the church.
