This is the last hurrah, then I gotta go punch sand for another decade, waiting for either party to implode so we can finally get something new. As if the democrats will do anything different in the face of self-destructive GOP. They've been playing the same drum since MLK was marching around. This is the second time they lost to the world's largest Oompa Loompa, and they still haven't figured it out. At this rate, 2028 will come down to Joe Biden's lifeless body, vs John McCain's souless skeleton.

If I could travel back in time it would be to 1993. When Fugazi played the Martin Luther King Jr. Concert of Justice. This event played out at the Sylvan Theater, on the grounds of the Washington Monument for the 30th Anniversary of Martin Luther King’s March on Washington, in front of a massive crowd of some 5000 participants, arguably the largest crowd Fugazi drew in its history (note that this soundboard recording of the outdoor gig only hints at a mere fraction of such a high number of spectators). Fugazi would play at an outdoor amphitheater located at the northwest corner of 15th Street and Independence Avenue near the base of the Washington Monument a popular venue for a wide range of events including free concerts, rallies and protests. They played one more time, in 1995 John Brannon is my Detroit rock icon. His voice is aggressive as the muscle cars and streets of Detroit. Dope, hookers, and pavement. That's what was in Cass Corridor, the place John would find his voice.

I can't remember if it was Amp'd or something else, but my friend in high school was excited when his phone had mobile exclusive shorts of Judge Fudge from Drawn Together. It was another "big deal" Comedy Central had with these mid 2000s mobile providers.

ah, the mid to late 00's, the era of hyper offensive political cartoons that are somehow still too scared to actually have any political commentary maybe things are a little better these days after all

It hates the targets of its satire to the extent that it breaks immersion and just makes you think that the creators have issues.

Which was genuinely markable, but he was at least a somewhat decent man who happened to be a terrible judge of character surrounded by actually evil people as compared to prisoner Trump, who is a genuinely evil person in a way that isn’t funny to joke about.

Judgement: "I will grant you any wish you desire!" Polnareff: "Oh, bring back Lil Bush!" Judgement: "That animated Comedy Central show about George Bush?" Polnareff: "Yes, I loved that show!" Judgement: "But, but how would that even work today? He's not even the President anymore!" Polnareff: "Don't care, want another season."

I remember this show being on TV in like 2003. It being on in 2007 really hurts its timeliness. Edit: I realized I was thinking of "that's my bush" the superior bush sitcom parody also on comedy central.

I had no idea Lil Bush had so much goddamn lore. It was a show me and my family loved cause we HATED the Bush Administration. Every episode always had at least 2 or 3 jokes thatd land super well.

Trump ran against the Bush administation in 2016. Someone hating Bush dosn't mean that they would be mad about Trumps 2024 victory. Politics isn't just about partisanship.

Iggy Pop as Lil' Rummy was weirdly inspired casting - just as weird as Fear's Lee Ving playing Mr. Boddy in Clue: The Movie. I can't wait to see you cover Kid Notorious (unless you have already and I missed it). NO ONE was asking for a cartoon series about the life of Robert Evans - producer of The Godfather. Slash voiced himself as Robert's neighbor.
