Glad that people are picking it up! White hair Camellya also have god tier tracking in her spin to the point where she can follow dreamless around. Clarification tho about what you said "all other multiplier are lower" in the basic attack. Not necessarily, because the way you get to spin in white hair is you do heavy attack, you can see for yourself how high the heavy attack multiplier is. Something like 88%*3 and due to her inherent skill 2, it is regarded as basic attack.

My build is somewhat similar at around 82/235 with a much less lucky crit damage. i ended up making starting echo builds for both danjin and rover at separate times and forgot about them, then when camellya came out i confiscated the best of their echoes and gave them to her LOL.

also something of note, white hair forms spin attack also moves and tracks enemies so it works for bosses that move around a lot. So on top of the damage bonus thats a big plus

There is a Gremlin CC that is a master at running numbers. She already confirmed that the white hair mode multiplier is higher BUUUUUT you have to already be on the ground for white hair mode to yield higher DPS. So unless you get knocked out of your aerial attack then it’s white hair mode is just more useful in open world mob fights or if you are doing solo dps runs. Edit. To sum it up. The time it takes for you to get out of aerial mode to do your ground basic attack combo will negate the overall damage increase you would get anyways. Time=DPS gain/loss.

One thing you should note if you don't need to attack with Crownless to get the buffs. Just cash the echo, dodge to get out of Crownless form, and then plunge attack.

Another thing to consider between her normal and blossom form is that blossom allows her to start her combo mid air. So if you go into blossom mode and use your grapple, you can start her combo at the peak of her grapple height and avoide 90% of the enemy hits.

Exactly. Her blossoming mode is better for groups of enemies. Her normal mode is better for single enemies. I am still relearning not to hit Skill every time I can. She plays too different to Encore and Jinhsi. And that is great. Now I need a Rover that feels right when fighting.

@@XenoWars Does she really? I can see the simmilitude, certainly. Combo on ground --> Skill use --> Combo on air --> Nuke. But they play different after that. The range, areas of effectiveness, rhythm, speed and button presses are quite different. Their Fortes work differently. They use Concerto differently. Jinhsi can swap in and out during her air combo without hitch, but gets stumped if the ground conbo is interrupted. Camellya takes a while to start her combos, but then becomes a rapid-fire blender, and can switch between both her modes eithout compromising her flow in a significative way. And she hates swapping out. Jinhsi is: Tap. Tap. Tap. Tap. Camellya is Tap, tap, hoooooooooooold-TAP!

this is also wrong bc the initial skill cast also does dmg and instead of it being a small difference with normal attacks leading its more like a 49% difference with skill leading. Casting the skill has a 200% multiplier and exiting the skill has a 250% multiplier. Smack is wrong.

Seems like it's single target damage v.s. aoe damage. Reminds me of FFXIV's Samurai class when it first came out and how it has AoE moves that do less, but target more, then single-target high damage.

If I've come to the understanding of her kit correctly; In white hair state her full cast of the spinning attack is comprised only of Basic 4: 24.70% x 20 = 494% In red hair state her full cast of the spinning attack is comprised of vining waltz 3 AND blazing waltz which totals: 21.95% x 25 = 548.75%. Which means that the overall damage of the spinning attack in the red hair (vine state) is actually higher as it has more hits. That being said, you also need to account for the total animation time. Of which I've not tested but I'm pretty sure the white hair state takes longer if you do the basic chain and is a bit shorter if you start with heavy . So overall, white hair state does not have more damage just a bit higher raw value per hit. Basically do white hair state for better tracking and red hair state for better AoE and overall dmg if your enemy isn't going to move out of range.

From my experience it's worth doing when: the boss is staggered, or the attacks are scripted and you know there's a counter coming up, or it's attacks aren't heavy enough to interrupt your combo. In these situations where the boss is basically a training dummy, I'm noticing more damage with the basic mode. But any other situation where you may have to dodge, blossom mode is the way to go!

The damage difference per hit is small, but noticeable. It depends on utility though. Suspended spin protects you from some attacks, and has no wind-up like the spin in white-haired mode. You can also spin continuously, while you need to recast the ground heavy, so while the damage is indeed higher as you spin, you also lose some DPS during the time you wind up the attack, further decreasing the difference. Certainly not enough to sacrifice the convenience of air attacks unless in *very* sweaty content where every sinlge % of damage counts, or when fighting highly mobile bosses.

In practice both forms deal the same DPS; since while white hair is more damage, it is also slower, especially the post spin attack, if you don't cancel it. If you think you always need to use white hair combo, you'll unintentionally be nerfing your combo damage. Time is precious, it's very hard to get 2 spins off within Sanhua's outtro buff duration, which means you need to get her resonance skill nuke off as fast as possible. Part of that requires you to fill her concerto before you combo. There's many ways to do it, but the most sweaty way is to spam swap cancel her resonance skill while you're building concerto for your support & Sanhua. Then, when you've got all the buffs and you swap onto her, you'll ult (optional crownless cancel) and hold basic attack. You shouldn't be spending time using her resonance skill. So regardless of which form you're in post ult, you'll use that. Although her red form is airborne, so it makes it easier to use post nuke without having to plunge. TL;DR getting your buff rotation down matters way more than which spin-to-win you use.

Actually we were all right still. Her normal attack multipliers are higher, yes, but when you consider that you'll need to be dodging, that's when blossom mode speeds ahead in damage, as you will get more damage from that dodge counter than plunging in normal form. It goes from being 20k in favor of normal form to 20k in favor of blossom form with just one dodge.

It's good to know that in over-world I don't have to go crazy on insignificant echoes. Just spin to win without changing forms. Using a whole E attack seemed such a waste to me. Also she kills so fast that sometimes I realize there's no one left and I'm just stranded in the air and cannot move freely. Anyway, great tip to save time!

The difference between the 2 is pretty small when looking at the full combo you do. Rather than hyper focusing on which form you are in, the take away is more so to level both your basic and skill since in an ideal rotation, you are using both forms anyways.

What about the other hits before the spinning attack? Those in the red hair state do much better than in the white hair state. Did you compare the value of all the hits altogether in the 2 different forms? Another thing to consider is the animation speed. If the white hair one is faster, then great.

White hair def faster, the only thing to consider about the difference is the time need to do that spinning attack, which is something ppl thinks that its the same dps since white haired takes a lil bit of time compared to red haired probably like .4 secs so white haired still makes more dps

In the video you said the multipliers of her skill moves are much higher than the multipliers of her basic set move, but if u look closely it's actually not the case. If you add the whole basic attack set, it will account for 994.27% dmg in total while the skill set moves do 939.11% in total... Even the dodge counter of the basic attack set does more than the dodge counter for the skill set. (TLDR; the white hair version does more dmg and has more multipleirs on ALL moves which is better for single target).

In white hair mode you can dodge since she doesn't stay still like her skill but if you're asking which one does more damage then her dodge in red hair mode where she swings away does more damage since it is counted as a basic attack there! if you don't want to dodge with her then you can give your healer the bellborne echo but you will be losing the 10% attack from The fallacy of no return but I feel like it's worth it! :)

I have a question on this, because in many other Camellya guides they have mentioned how in her white haired state she only does 20 spins during the hold portion of her basic attack string. Whereas in her red hair state she does 25 spins. So my main question is even though her multipliers are lower for the red hair state, how does the total damage at the end of each version compare to each other?

I'm pretty sure that the red hair state does slightly more then, but the dmg vs time it takes means white hair does more overall (because the whole combo is faster than the reds whole combo, and the faster time adds up to more dps) from what I understand

@@Pumpkinpie3 I think I understand what you mean. Due to the White hair having the faster combo you get more dps, which makes sense. Lets say the red hair combo does more total damage at the end of her string, but due to it being slower it looses dps because the white hair can start another combo earlier. Thus having more damage in the same amount of time as the red hair. However I feel like the small increase in time it takes for the red hair version wouldn't matter. Due to the increase in time the red takes compared to the white version being so small to the point of being negligible. Especially in the case of a full rotation. Of course this is all assuming the red hair does more total damage from her spin.

Lv 80 s0r1 camellya/sanhua rc3/ and sk made my hazard run easier. I wasn't expecting i could clear it with ease because seeing the lv.100 creeps the hell out of me, i'm only rank 55. But yea, i can clear hazard but i can't clear the normal ones cus camellya is my only meta unit/ alongside my unbuilt encore lmfao

Truth be told, all this talk about getting 1% more damage with 1 more hit seems nuts to me. When Maygy showed her numbers between echo sets, having two alternatives deviate 1% makes me wonder why do we even worry about that. When the difference is 5% or more, that is something important in there. I will never play optimally. I will never score frame-perfect rotations. I will never devote my life to the end content. So, for me it is more important to have characters that work well enough, that feel awesome to play, and that I enjoy watching. Camellya feels better in her white mode for exploration and bosses. She becomes a beast against groups in her red hair mode. That is all I need to know. (says the one who spent 3 hours yesterday setting up a Sheets to prepare for months of farming the perfect echo with the perfect substats)

Yeah at the end of the day it's just a game and all about having fun I agree!! This is also why I love Kuro games they design their characters in a way where there is no optimal best rotation and to be honest I don't even always stick to rotations or try to get the most out of my characters like if you want the video I could've Dash canceled the Crownless :D So yeah games are meant to be fun and not stressful where you have to think about every single move that you make :)

Why every single CC is spreading this misinformation? YES, the dmg multiplier is higher, but this doesn't change anything in her final DPS, you don't even need to upgrade her Basic Attack. If you waste time with her basic attack rotation, you are going to lose Sanhua and support/echo buffs in Blossom budding mode. Also, after her intro, she will gain 100 pistils, you can skip her basic attack rotation and go full beyblade with Blossom mode + Budding mode with full buffs. Yes, her Basic Attack is nice to upgrade. If you are hit or press the wrong button, you can recover doing a basic attack rotation. But 99% of the players will prefer reset and try again. Save your resources.
