Another fantastic piece! I love Grip Inc. and was lucky enough to see them at a very small venue in Southern California. I went with a close friend who was also a die-hard Lombardo fan. While the crowd was jockeying for front stage access, I found us a perfect side stage shot where we could watch Dave the entire set. Our minds were blown and it was an amazing show. And afterwards Lombardo was humble and even pointed out, "You and your buddy had perfect view of me all night. Sorry it you got hit by any broken sticks." He snickered a bit, then handed each of us a pair or his sticks. Total professional. Total gentleman. 100% badass. One of the best shows I've ever attented.

Scott Crawford He did good but my only complaint is that a lot of the fills are incorrect and are easier to play than Dave's. I cover Rusty Nail on KZbin but it's old and before I had my studio and a decent camera. I could easily do Hostage to Heaven. I have Dave's old Artstar kit. If I'm not too lazy I will mic my kit and borrow my friend's GoPro.

I remember very well. It was in 90's, poor, post soviet, south Poland's town and I was teneger. My buddy shoved me audio cassete of Grip Inc. "Power of inner strength" which he bought at local flea market. When I heard it first time I was shocked of drum's sound. Drums are very fast, brutal and extremly precise. At this album drums are like machine gun! After years I still didn't heard something similar.

Flavio Abujamra I met Dave and Waldemar at a drum clinic and watched them jam together up close. It was awesome. Grip Inc was a very unique band. One of my all time favorites. I was excited about this album back in 95, being Lombardo's answer to Slayer and all. And it was a great album, excellent playing from all members and great songs. Awesome production values at the time too....I believe the guitars were actually done through bass amps which gave them a really unique sound. Anyway, it was on heavy rotation for a long time.

It's unreal. Props to Delta! Lars, I need your help again for Thursday's Thoughts...Can you ask Delta if he wouldn't mind telling us at what age he started to play the drums? Or since he is a multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and composer, as well, what advice does he have for someone who is just starting out? I have two young daughters who show an interest in Music. 8 year old who sings, plays piano, and tries to compose music and a 6 year old who enjoys vocals and has decided to start drumming lessons. I would love to know if there was anything Delta wished he knew when he was just starting out that he learned later in time? I would really appreciate it, Lars. Wish the Dark Lord some luck as well...i'm looking forward to #100
