What is going on with the subtitles? Are they generated based on speech to text dictation software? Because especially with names, the subtitles are completely mismatched. It's not just this video, but I've seen this with other people's videos and shorts too.

The badge boost is a big reason as to why it’s basically impossible to do a completely glitch less speedrun in gen 1. Every time your pokemon is hit by a stat changing move like sand attack, your badge boosts get reapplied.

I’m currently making a Pokémon region and the gimmick I came up with are berserk Pokémon and they have to have a berserk gene to become berserk forms and I didn’t even know this existed!

Poison and steal types could be poisoned up to gen three if the odds were in your favor and it didn't matter if they were supposed to be immune to the status effect. Something else is that any Pokemon that had an immunity of any kind had a chance of being hit by it or given the corresponding status effects or whatever. The next part is that certain status effects were what is called hidden status effects or couldn't be healed by a full restore or full heal. Confusion, curse, and two others would not be removed by any status restoration items and would persist after battle and either be transferred into the next battle or cause problems outside battle. Curse for example would slowly drain your Pokemon until you used certain restoration items and would have a tendency to make it through the Pokemon center healing. Curse was easily the worst offender with this but certain ones would still have effects. Like there were a few types of burn, and other status effects that would trigger and cause problems. My friends and I would call those effects poisoned or whatever 2 because it wouldn't matter what you tried unless you used certain specific items like the lava cookies and stuff like that. The other problems were with the status effects stacking over other status effects or sometimes even increased power. For example if you were to burn a Pokemon while poisoned and whatever else that would cause the status effects to trigger again for each other status effect on the affected Pokemon.
