Finallllyy someone on the Internet who’s speaking about it! ❤ I’m doing the same technique because I HATED how longer my jaw seemed to be with typical contour method, really it’s all about what’s working with ours face shapes 🦋

I could never watch a 22 min video about makeup but you’re so knowledgeable and beautiful and this video and all your other videos have helped me so much 💕💕 thank you 🙏🏾 Also I was following the steps while watching the video and it made me realize my Fenty contour stick is also not the right shade but I could still see a difference with your technique.

This looks complicated but great tips. The way you explained how contour is usually done is exactly what I've been seeing everywhere. Maybe you can give us info how to choose a contour shade? The bottom half my face always looks round & big & I'd love to make it look more defined.

Look for a product (maybe "contour", or concealer, eyeshadow, brow makeup) that's a little darker than your skin tone & more greyish (because contouring is creating/emphasising shadows & shadows are shades of grey). You might find it helpful to swatch a bunch of stuff, as much to see what doesn't work, which helps you work out what does.

Hey girl! 👋🏻 these are great techniques and what you're saying makes a lot of sense. I graduated with a bachelor in fine arts and when I draw faces, I consider these same techniques albeit while using graphite. Through learning about the concept of light & shadow and their purpose in art and design, you understand that it can be applied elsewhere (like our face) to get the desired effect. Studying art helped me understand my facial features and how to enhance them better! 😊

My buccal fat is so intense, I can’t feel my teeth at all… Fortunately, it also means my 33yo face is often mistaken for that of someone in their late teens/early 20s. Thanks for a truly amazing, in-depth contouring video - I’ve never seen anything like it on YT!

Sarah❤ on the last part, when you were adding product to cheekbones, did you add concealer or hilight? And when I add a lighter concealer to cheekbones, would I add hilight after for shine? I have struggled with some health problems, and now after 2 years.. starting to put makeup on again.. I swear, it's like I totally forgot my technique! Lol Thanks for all you do, I love watching you, and your voice is so calming 💕

Meanwhile, my face is naturally sunken out. Where are all the highlighting for volume tricks!?
@AnneOnymaus10 ай бұрын
Put makeup that's lighter than your skin tone in the sunken areas, so you're effectively reverse contouring: this should make the shadowy areas lighter which should make your face look fuller. For the most natural result, use makeup that's only a shade or two lighter than your base & has a soft matte or satin finish: shimmery or glittery 'highlight' never looks good in real life.
