To me, the availability of the Weissach package matters the most. With a car like the GT3, there always needs to be an extra effort to keep the weight in check just to balance out the weight gain from complying with emissions and other laws that force the car to gain weight. Porsche clearly know how important this is and are doing what they can to address this. I personally think that whatever small weight gain there is between the 992.1 and 992.2 comes from the added catalytic converters in the exhaust system. When people in the U.S. market get the new GT3, they will likely replace the exhaust with an aftermarket titanium or Inconel unit that will be even lighter than the factory exhaust in the 992.1 GT3.

This is one of the best discussions of the new 992.2 GT3 I’ve seen so far. One thing to note is that the twist start unit is still included on all GT3s, not just the GT3 with Touring package.

On the GT3 Touring the rear seats, manual gearbox with shorter ratios and the fact that the car is 85% of the ST - if that is the case. 😎

Guys, but this is big, when mobile phone company can do such a time. The hobby racing EVs just starting. Imagine, you would do 2 laps and then possible super fast charging (like 5N). Future is electric and I am glad Sasha did understand this finally.
