Yes, Sir, we can, but we must also lower the current sense resistor on the high-voltage side FET/IGBT Driver and adjust the Duty cycle by changing the Capacitor and resistor of the Driver IC.

Please do a follow-up video. For the next part of this video it would be interesting if you can use oscilloscope to measure the actual duty cycle before and after the modification to see exactly how much it has increased. Then put an adjustable load and find out the maximum current it can provide with the modification. Please do it in a future video. I think it would be better to use a 15V or 24V smps and modify it to lower voltage so that the smps is not stressed. But even so this modification is only +2.2V and the smps should be able to handle that without any issues.

if amperes are dropped after increasing the voltage then it is difficult to get full amperage, if we will try to increase then circuit will get in over stress. the MOSFET and all other primary side component will run in upper limit condition

Sir, i have smps 24 v, 10 amp . Its switching mosfet is short. After removing mosfet i found continuity on gate and source point on pcb (not on mosfet) which section can be faulty. Please help

Peace be with you always Sir, thank you for this, I need the opposite i.e to drop from 5v to 2.8v smps as I cannot find one. Will try it now, carefully. Perhaps for the viewer it would be better to modify a higher voltage smps like 18.5v to 14.2. I wonder would the increase in resistance change the effectiveness of the capacitor in this circuit. I don't get how the original duty cycle is determined but I probably was not in class the day you explained that in your clear and precise manner as always😊

Use a 3.3v smps then adjust the voltage down to 2.8v using the potentiometer. No modification needed. Alternatively you can use small buck converter board available for $2 connected to the 5V output. It can take any voltage and output a lower voltage.

at what amperage using 3 silicon power diodes in series will get close or use a series pass regulator [ywo resistors and a BJT transistor --- you can add a cap, Base to ground -- so it acts like a cap multiplier and reduces the spikes, noise, and ripple.

Hi, I am a subscriber to your channel. I can't find the circuit diagram for the samsung tv LN46A750R1F. After I changed the main board for a used one I purchased from ebay, the tv keep turning on and off every few seconds. There is no image no sound only the sound of the relay and the stand by light allows to see what I have just described. Thank you in advance for your help.

it's not really good to increase the voltage. coz it requires to change number of turns which results into decreased current rating. turn on time will also change which is really dangerous
