Today we continue on with the 999cc Duromax V Twin kids go kart build. We get the back section of the frame cut off and build up a new one to clear the massive 999cc engine. We mount up the new swing arm we built in the last video to the chassis. Finally we mount the shocks and build a pan hard bar for the suspension. We are getting close to firing this beast up very soon.

@@RedBeardsGarage The simple builds are alot more relaxing to do but the complicated builds are awesome also altho can be frustrating and tiresome. Grab your self a Dragy performance meter or P-gear performance meter for testing and comparing the performance of your builds and of all the various motors you test out. They are awesome and i have both. If you get one and have any questions about them feel free to ask me.

I have the exact same cart I bought and modded to fit a Duromax 440, 18hp beast! Just a stage 1 mod , oil sensor and governor deleted of course. I had to beef up the rear engine carriage, cut and extend the hoop. Added front and rear lights, brake lights. Fenders all around! See it on my channel! What I want to see is how to replace the front single arm suspension with a dual arm with brakes! Keep up the great content!

I’ve got an 420 cc 16hp 30.57 ft/lbs of torque DuroMax engine it’s not as big as your 999cc but this thing is a monster just with a few mods it’s backfiring out the headed on a down throttle and wants to skip the 40 series torque converter and go on it’s own like all at once but will power down and torque out of most places like going up hill in a tight spot … Then it’s all about the low end torque but straight up power pulling out a tight place….. Anyway it’s just fucken crazy power an torque it does wheelies at around 40 mph and will get scary on the pick up … This 2021 BT200X mini bike hits 80mph so fast you have to dig the 🐛 bugs out you teeth so fast before the next run time…. I’d like to bring it out that way to just show you Red beard it’s a damn straight up hot rod for a mini bike… Okay anyway you always say something about how a big boy you are in how it makes a difference… it wouldn’t care how big you was it just goes… okay DuroMax 420cc an big boy at 16hp and 30.57 ft/lbs of crazy torque…. I’ve never heard it bog down no matter where or what your situation is it just goes with torque and power…. It has not been that long less than a week now 3,4 days maybe!!!!! Less … a will I’m just going to have to put new tires on it …… like some 6ply sunF tires the Coleman BT200X stock tires are already smoked off…. Coleman tires suck so this little bitch is getting a new set of meats….. sorry I went on and on but DuroMax engine’s are built with power right from the start…. Unsure about the Tillotson engines but them predator 212 engine’s ani’t got shit on the DuroMax 208cc 7hp engine stock that engine comes with 10.21 ft/lbs of torque and the predator 212cc engine stock only puts what 6.5 hp… so if you want more you’ve got to put all kinds of mods in it on it just to pull the power and torque that the DuroMax 208cc engine has … stock even the DuroMax 208cc 7hp engine by fare with out a doubt in my mind would smoke any stock or modify predator 212cc engine…. I’ll bet the 420cc DuroMax on that one…. Later…..,,

Nice content guys but honestly I'd love more regular updates on the technical builds like the yz450 or other full suspension builds that are different and more advanced. The design and technique of your simpler builds is well known now and almost fool proof in its simplicity and effectiveness and we can watch back old videos but building or modifying the karts with better setups is interesting. Like converting a simple trailing arm setup to independent trailing arm or multi link or dual a-arm rear end etc. And for less technical experience, reusing drive trains from say ATVs etc like a front end swap from kart single arm to ATV dual arm seems an ideal conversion rather than building from scratch. Also, just my observation, seems you put lots of metal in the builds and I'd be fascinated to see how you could build a light weight but triangulated, strong frame or how to brace a light weight kart frame and give it simple suspension upgrades etc. Selfishly its great watching how you do stuff and learning so I personally enjoy seeing more of your smart solutions to builds and especially the more advanced stuff like the yz450 build etc, or reusing proven setups like ATV etc. Thanks for all the hard work and clear explanations also, keep it up.

Is there a big benefit to converting from a semi-independent rear suspension to an actual independent rear suspension on these buggies? I've got a deuce that I'm working on and I'm considering doing independent rear suspension on it at some point. I've got the dana h12 in it and I have heard you can get axle stubs for them.
@westman8527
@westman8527 2 жыл бұрын
to me it is a massive difference, trials i ride are only smooth sometimes and just the rear swing axle is a rough ride especially combined with how much unspring weight there is. a setup like this paired with solid shocks will be the smoothest go kart ever. high speed stuff would still be rough (not as much as before) because of the un sprung weight but its a go kart so its not suuuuper important.

I like the setup. Isn't that what they used on the Manco Deuce for a setup? It looks a whole lot better then the 2005 Polaris Twister Cart that my sun and I took to Windrock with you. It had a GY6 for a motor. I never have had the time or parts to change it over to a gravity feed carborator.
@jonpippen6998
@jonpippen6998 2 жыл бұрын
Yes thats the same style suspension thats on the manco duece (semi independent rear suspension). Polaris doesn't and never has built the hammerhead buggys and only bought the hammerhead name a couple years ago but they do not build the buggys. They dont even build the rzr170 /rzr177 (200)/ace or ranger 150s. They just have china build them and slap their names on them. They use the same gy6s that are on all the chinese buggys. Your old hammerhead buggy is already gravity feed just like 99% of all other china buggys. Gy6s are awesome motors and have an absolute ton of performance upgrades available.
