Hi Kyle. Great design. Just an observation that you should set your heim joints halfway adjusted out (of working thread not entire, so like a third of thread) when you weld up the arms so that you can tweak the alignment both directions once welded up. 2:50 Are you planning on bracing the rear end assembly from being pulled forward by the engine? You could do an adjustable linkage forward so you can set the chain tension. No matter how much you tighten that swivel bolt, it’s not staying when you give it the juice. Just something that caught my eye.

kawasaki brute force 750 shocks would be perfect for that 2 seater cross kart. Would be right around the same weight. Isn’t it better to use A-Arm suspension in the rear since u can have no camber gain? Can u explain why did u put that Type of suspension for the rear? Does it get less torque twist maybe or?
@KJRaycing2 жыл бұрын
Well that’s what we are going to find out… a-arms and trailing arms are included in the plans for whichever you think is the better setup. The rear end is the same from the single seaters and the a-arms have already been proven with those. The advantage of trailing arms build-wise is more space for the chain and less heims. Con is definitely alignment and geometry, these take a little more time to get squared up.
@chuckingram59662 жыл бұрын
There's not a whole lot of different cross cart plans to purchase I prefer the looks of yours best. Do you ever plan on putting the plans together for a single cedar that has perfect geometry in both front and rear suspension? So far I've watched many of your videos of you building a cross card one and two seaters and you don't seem to have the design to get all four corners geometry correct what's your plan for the future
@KJRaycing2 жыл бұрын
My suspension geometry works really well; I’m a little confused by this to be honest. I have videos of them jumping, drifting, going fast and now crawling over obstacles. The plans are for the chassis and rear a-arms. The videos show you how to set up suspension plus I hope you guys do a little research to set them up for your driving style.

@@KJRaycing I've been watching you from the very beginning of this venture and your talent has come a long way with the experience you have endured. With all due respect sir I'd love to see you leave the glorified yard carting level and move up to open desert. There's so much more to learn and experience not to mention the enjoyment of family outings to the deserts for a weekend or two per month. That's my plan. That's how I grew up and I'm looking forward to getting back to it been too many years away from it. I'm talking longer wheelbase wider track 15-16 inches of travel all the way around ultra lightweight Wheels and tires narrow yet tall 26 to 28 in with some real suspension like King and perfect geometry. God that sounds good I do so love the desert. Thanks for everything you've done and keep up the good work.
