I do love these different component videos, makes me feel like slightly less of a hoarder keeping them all😂👍

I really appreciate the way you break down each individual component. It helps me understand what’s worth depopulating and what is not. Thank you!

Ahoj Dušane, there is only very thin gold flash on SIM contacts (other simmilar contacts), is there any other way to "strip" the gold without disolve all the metal? Looks like AR is to strong caliber for this much (this little) gold...

I only process the full plated ones. I'm picky. Sometimes I will cut off the gold tab if it's not full plated. You should do head phone jacks brother! I have found that head phone jacks have good gold! It's hit or miss but so far I have found some good gold in head phone jacks!

Yes Jack's,rca's,alot of female ends of plugs very good too. I like alot of the easterners videos they know what has similar yield according to the same process so they process different things at once the same way. They know alot about cuppelation and metal collecting with silver and lead.

@@normynorm2945 I use lead! Saves a ton on nitric acid! I found bismuth to work even better then lead! And it's way less toxic

🍺👍🏼 How much gold would you say you have recovered in total so far from those 500 boards?

Nice vid. Looking forward to see the next one :) Got plenty of motherboards and I was just thinking if I should depopulate these pins or not to bother with them :)

Fantastic, we all love the shiny parts, but people don't realize how little gold is in a big pile of Shiny bits

Nice. Seein this makes me want to drill some holes in a 5 gallon bucket and put stuff like those in to soak. (In a bigger 30 gal bucket with waste solution) Would be nice n easy to dunk and rinse. I have some plastic lined 3 stacks of pins from some server connectors. They look similar and wont yeild really anything but still could be used as copper, and then plastic will come out easy.

It’s amazing how small the gold plating is on these electronics these days. Yes there is gold but not a lot. Pretty cool to see single item refining although. I would like to see how much gold is in a large quatatity of LED light bulb boards. Like the newer 9 watt or 15 watt bulbs that have that small aluminum PC board with a couple small IC looking chips on them. Pretty sure one of those is just a rectifier. I’ve started collected dead bulbs just for that experiment.

Just a thought, if chemicals like nitric acid are expensive, I could hypothetically dissolve metals like you did, remove leftover plastic, then add more new connectors covered in that same concentrated solution and keep dissolving metals out of plastic connectors until most or all of the acid is used up. Then proceed from there and have less unused acid to denox with urea or whatever.🤔
