Riding a Brand New CR500AF for the FIRST Time!

We are armed with a brand new 2021 Honda CR500AF and our man Neville Bradshaw is ready and raring to let it rip! This is going to be fun...
Neville Bradshaw is one of the most prolific 500cc 2 Stroke racers on the internet, he's done some special things on these iconic dirt bikes. But he has has never had the opportunity to swing his leg over and shred an aluminium framed CR500, until now!
We've teamed up with Andre and Brett to make some magic happen, they lent us their brand new Ally Frame CR two stroke for the day and we called up Mr. Bradshaw to take her for the ride of her life! Enjoy guys :-)

@@gearhead682010 They also make the power. They are far more powerful than a 4 stroke which is why they had to build the 4 stroke engine so much larger to compete. A 250 stroke would smoke the hell out of a 250 4 stroke all day long and then some

I agree- they wouldnt be able to make enough if them to go around. *BUT* Honda has a very well documented dislike of 2-strokes, and they have even stated publicly that they'll never make another one.

People can ride 500s like 125s now because these days, they're used to the power. Modern 450s make more power than old 500s so they're actually slower than a new 450

@@999lazer while I'm thinking about it you might want to know as I was watching Kaplan America putting bikes on the dyno as he has a floor mounted dianometer put in the other day and there's a debate among the commenters that this particular Suzuki make it was 250 would put out more horsepower with a street tire On the roller than it will with a knobby tire on the back... I know Kaplan as motorcycle sales and go he's a lot more interested in the performance figures than any other salesman and so he ran the dirt bike where it was I think it was a 250 Suzuki and got a baseline reading and horsepower at the rear tire running the naughty and then he had another we already laced up with a street tire mounted on it put that on the same bike rolled her on up made about five horsepower more which it always had but it was but obviously slipping that much bouncing up and down it still roller I'm thinking if you wanted something really more accurate than that and get a road race slick the biggest wise one you can get on a rim to fit the bike you want to know the horsepower on and that'll give you the more accurate reading he's at tired from 7:00 and I don't think cranking them down as far as it'll go would help that much either because you still got those square blocks of it knob about the same distance apart as the knob itself and it's going to try to bounce on that roller on the knobs this year's help made a big difference you know five more horsepower that you wasn't didn't know you had nice brings up another reason of course people will tell you it's tire companies love to sell tires and that's what they do if you had a Motocross tire cut and design and they're out there for every track conditions there is already mounted up on different Wheels I like to start raining in the afternoon they're not going to call it off and put on a heavier mud tire.... And they made about five more horsepower well that's what it showed at the rear tire on the street tire versus the navi might keep that in mind when you guys are looking for peak performance and horsepower

I love watching Nev, doesn't matter if its ripping round tracks or just chatting he always has my attention, he's an absolute monster and I believe he can ride pretty much anything, he rags his 500 all over and he did the same with this one and I think the megladon will get the same treatment, go for it Nev tame the beast and send it back to the depths, can't wait to see it so Max please don't make us wait to long for that footage, as always Max great content keep it up m8

I would like to see a shootout between the Megladon and a 500 AF just to see if the extra 200cc gives an advantage over a purpose built 500 2T. I know what an aluminum frame 500 is capable of, and it is an experience like no other that you will get from any modern MX bike. A head to head Between the 2 bikes with equally talented riders switching between them would be awesome! Happy Holidays everyone.

The all red theme of this bike and Acerbis seat is pretty sick. He rides a 500 2T very good also = keeping the front end light and steering with rear. This is a great MX package with minimal maintenance.

I remember my KX500 fondly. Love the exhaust tone on the open class two-strokes but that's the only thing I'll miss when my Stark Varg arrives. No more smashed expansion chambers, no more cleaning air cleaners, no more fouled plugs, no more pre-mix, etc... Can't wait!!!

Yes about time 500 2 stroke with Aluminum frame. I hear with that chassis plus brake are making it more rideable! Looking forward to see him against modern 450s on track like he did in 2020. Definitely will like to see him on 700cc 2 stroke once.
