1. Strip the turf away from the road and ditch till you see gravel. 2. Cut ditches, bringing back gravel on to the road again. 3. Do the crowning, making the road highest in the middle so that rain water won't stay on or flow along the road. 4. Repeat nr 3 and compact loose gravel. 5. Flatten the crown a bit, depending on how compacted it got in previous step. Too high crown and loosely packed gravel can cause a ridge in the middle as regular traffic compacts mostly in the wheel tracks and not in the middle. 6. Clean up the outer side of the ditch, if needed. Just make the water get off the road, and it'll be long lasting.
