I think I am Coventry's lucky charm. In 1986/87 SBS started showing regular English football I was looking for a team to follow so when Coventrymade it to the FA cup final I started following them. I kept following through the 90s, but once big money took over the game,we stopped seeing the games on free to air TV. Over the next couple of decades, I had lost touch with them, until I decided to google them in December 2017. I was shocked to see them down in league 2 mid table. But over the next weeks they started a winning run, and they made it into the play-offs, and won promotion. I have continued to follow every game as they have risen up through league 1 and the championship. The game yesterday was the most exciting game I have seen since 1987. I hope my good luck continues.

Great video. I watched the game on TV earlier. Had to get up at 5am here in Arizona. Brilliant win. When Wolves went 2-1 up I thought it was game over, but two good goals from Simms and Wright have put us through. The last from Wright was a real peach of a goal. One of the greatest come-backs of all time!

i’m 65 this year so i remember 1987 really well … things are a little different now having moved from Coventry to Colorado…. but i was still up this morning listening to Coventry radios live broadcast of the game … and what a game!!! … the nature of the result was very like 87 and brought back a lot of the same emotions 😅🥲. I was at Coventry Highfield Rd in 1981 semi final league cup with West Ham losing 3-2 and winning the second leg at Upton Park 2-0 in what I thought was the best ever atmosphere at Upton Park. We went on to lose the final and a few years later you beat spurs in the final. We still to win anything since 1980.

I know exactly how you feel because the last time I cried watching a football match was 1999 when Ole Gunnar Solskjaer scored for United in the European Cup final. It's so emotional because the 90 minutes are up and you're a goal down. My stomach was churning and I was like, "Pleeeease" sob sob. Then the goals go in and it's like being lifted into outer space. I didn't hold back I was in floods of tears. I ran into the bedroom where my girlfriend was on the phone to her mum in Germany and shouted "LOOK! TEARS!" lol. Really happy for you guys and here's hoping you get Manchester United in the semi finals.

I remember in 2019 when Watford played wolves in the semi final and we were 2-0 down then In added time we got a late penalty to send it to extra time and then in extra time we won it I hope Coventry can do a Watford and make it to the final. Best game I have ever been to
