I linked it in the description, it's the RP5-GM31 from PAC. It actually makes the radio play nice with the rest of the car (OnStar, chimes, etc.)

Great vid. Got a question I got a 9th gen 2014 limited lt, I installed a water pump last year, new thermostat as of 2 months ago along with hose from the reservoir that busted, new upper hose, same lower, new radiator all those installed a several months ago. Now as of late the temperature gauge is a notch above normal but doesn’t overheat and both fans come on, what could cause this? Also the upper hose stays hot and lower stays cool/cold sometimes it will warm up. Could it be the new thermostat is sticking ,water pump failing, collapsed blower hose?

This is coming from experiences I've had in the past, so don't take it as gospel: Did you at any time overheat your engine? Is that what necessitated the new water pump, et. al? If you did, then (from my experience) you likely have a warped head (or heads) and you're headed towards a head gasket failure. Aluminum head engines don't bounce back well from being ran while overheated. If it were my car (and assuming you did indeed overheat it), I'd start searching for a low mileage LFX to swap in, as the labor to remove the heads, have them resurfaced, and have a new timing set installed is going to far exceed what a good boneyard motor would cost. Now this all goes without saying you should absolutely double check that your newly installed parts are functioning properly before jumping to the warped-head conclusion..

@@CertifiedShadetree my car did overheat not long ago but I only replaced the small hose because that’s what caused the overheating, and a new thermostat and it was good up until a few weeks ago. Before the overheating o replaced the water pump due to it leaking, the radiator, and upper hose

I seem to recall the car I overheated ran at proper temperature until the summer months. It would routinely run 10-20 degrees hot. The head gasket let loose in the fall actually. It was a 3400, and I overheated it when a heater hose blew off the heater core. It was a good 6 or 7 months before the head gasket went.

@@CertifiedShadetree I’m gonna try for a new thermostat because the upper is hot and the lower stays cold and gets hot eventually, I’m loosing coolant out the reservoir but I have heat and AC still, after 5 mins of driving the temp gauge start creeping to the next notch and just stays there and but won’t get to the H level

@@eugenew6717 It's a good bang for the buck radio, IMHO. A Pioneer or Kenwood big screen radio with wireless AA/ACP is well over $1200.🤷‍♂️
