Justin Brown's piano cover of the cue, "The Swashbucklers" by John Williams for 'Star Wars: Episode IV - A New Hope' (1977).
Han, Chewbacca, Luke and Leia run into imperial troops while making their way to the Millennium Falcon and a foot chase begins. Splitting up, Luke and Leia get trapped in a core shaft with no way across. While Luke comes up with a plan, Leia returns fire to Imperial troops from across the chasm. The two are able to swing across the chasm just before imperial troops could open the blast door behind them. Han and Chewbacca continue to run from their pursuers before outsmarting them and escaping through a closing blast door. At the end, Obi-wan runs into his old pupil, Darth Vader, whose red lightsaber is already activated and waiting.
John Williams pays homage to the swashbuckling films of the 30's with this cue, opting for the exciting and rousing versions of Luke's theme to underscore the chases and danger rather than a typical dark battle theme. I hope you enjoy this arrangement.
